Q: Can you cook whole grain brown rice in this?

A: We use brown rice in a cooker we've had for many years and use 2.5 cups of water to 1 cup of brown long- or short-grain rice. Normal auto timing.

Q: Is this a good rice cooker or is the aroma a better one

A: This is awesome. Very easy and worth the money.

Q: This is listed as 2.6 quart, 14 cups. 14 cups is 3.5 quarts. What is the real capacity?

A: 2.6 quart is the capacity of the pot. 14 cups is the capacity of the cooked rice. 7 cups is the capacity of the uncooked rice.

Q: Why is auto shutoff a description as a features if it doesn’t shutoff it just switches to warm and you have to unplug to turn off?

A: Once the rice is finished, the rice cooker will automatically switch to Keep-Warm mode. When finished serving, turn the rice cooker off by unplugging the power cord. Rice should not be left in the inner cooking pot with the Keep-Warm function on for more than 12 hours. Unplug the rice cooker when it’s not in use.

Q: where do you put the rice and water in relation to the pot????

A: Add rice using provided measuring cup directly into metal pot, then water to fill line equaling number of cups of rice.
