The cover lid is can not cover because the body frame is already damaged.

With less than 2 cups, it burned the bottom of the rice and was almost impossible to clean off. Never tried to make more rice than that in a single batch, so cannot attest to it's functionality there. Returned within the week.

It does its job and cooks the rice. You need to be careful because the entire unit gets hot minus the handles. You also cannot leave it on warm. You need to unplug it unless you like crispy rice.

Makes a mess.

I can make rice in a pot just fine, but I didn't want to stand over a pot to make sure it didn't boil over or overcook. This cooker is even worse. Water boils up and spit out the vent. It doesn't just ooze out, it projects the starchy water out. I had to lift the lid several times, place a paper towel over the vent and now have to clean up my countertop. I made two cups worth of rice and, yes, added the right amount of water. I tried again with 3 cups and the same thing happened.
