I worked beautifully. I was also able to access some old drives I thought were broken. Very pleased with this purchase.

I had a client whose hard drive had crashed. I used this adapter to eventually get the data off the crashed hard drive. It took some time, but it saved me from having to send the drive to data-saving company. Well worth the money.

Hard drive buddy

I pulled my old Mac hard drive out and my old desktop hard drive out so I can recycle the computer but still have access to the information. This was a good choice and it’s small enough to fit on desk without being in the way

Reuse old drives.

Straight forward no frills docking station, will not work with the old WD Raptors with the giant heat sinks without removing the heat sink (the SATA connection is centered instead of offset), but once removed had no issues.

Plug n play and easy to use. Well worth the money spent and have it for any future needs. I definitely recommend it.

I have owned several of these throught out the past years. The one flaw I have discovered with them is that they get slower and slower over time. I bought this one today because the one I had was not performing well. Setup new one I just purchased and all is fine. I guess I am going to make it a habit to replace this more often.

I was thinking about buying an enclosure for a 4TB harddrive I stripped out of a Seagate NAS device that stopped communicating. I knew the hdd was still good, but could not connect to it by way of the network. The only problem was that the drive was formatted for Linux, so I had to find Windows software to read a Linux partition. Once that was done I transferred the files to another drive and then wiped the 4TB drive and reformatted it as a Windows drive. Now I use it as backup. I like that there are two ports on this docking station allowing transfer of files from one drive to another making upgrading drives easy.

Device to Transfer Data from Old PC to New PC

This fit the bill perfectly. I was able to xfer my data directly from the old HDD to the new desktop with minimum of effort. Plus; I got it as an open box item so I saved about 25% off retail. Win Win.

Pretty straight forward: Pop in the drives, plug in for power & connect the USB. From there, do what you want with the drives. Read/write/format.

Easy File Transfer
