This was the solution I was hoping for. I need it to read a drive, and it did so easily.

Have two SSD 4 TB drives in it, both work as expected. No drivers to install, just works (plug n play).

This is good if you just want a dock. Don’t be fooled into thinking that this can handle stand alone cloning or other independent operations. It can be quite buggy and for the price, you might look elsewhere if you are a power user. Simple cloning can be an issue.

It does the job without opening up the computer to work on a drive, I feel like I’m going to break something when I am trying to plug the drive in…not all SATA 3.5 HDD are the same height anymore as IDE. I had to get used to plugging it in but still not sure if I’m going to keep it.

Data transfer works, but when you plug your hard drive into a slot, all of the weight is on the connection to the circuit board, and the disk wobbles back and forth by a quarter inch or more. I ended up buying a horizontal dock off Amazon to use instead, just to be safe. This toaster design is cute, but I just hate plugging my hard drive into it.

Broke the very first SATA that I attempted to plug in. I immediately boxed it back up and plan on returning it. it would not fit into either slot. Physically it should, but nope. I will take the SATA in with me to show how it broke some of the connections.

I went to Best Buy to purchase three disk cases for three 2.5" disk drives which was not offered. A employee suggested the 2-Bay HDD docking station which I purchased. Simple, easy to use, and it works with both the small and larger drives. No more installing and reinstalling drives in cases. The drives are loaded without cases. Works flawlessly. Highly recommended.

Quit working after 2tb of data transfer will not load second drive

I needed a way to access some old hard drives, and this docking station did the job perfectly. Setup was literally plug-and-play—no drivers or extra steps needed. It reads both HDDs and SSDs without any issues, and transfer speeds are solid. The build quality is decent, and the design makes swapping drives quick and easy. If you need a simple, reliable solution for external storage or backups, this is a great choice!

The dock works really well, easy setup, fast transfers, and solid performance overall. My only complaint is the noise level. When the drive is writing, it gets noticeably loud, which can be distracting if you’re working in a quiet space. If you don’t mind a bit of extra noise, it’s a great choice for handling multiple drives.

Needed to recover data from dead laptop. Unboxed, extracted old hard drive and had data copying in 5 minutes total. Saved us countless hours and frustration and works flawlessly. As an added bonus we can now easily copy hard drives for a physical backup and makes deploying new machines easy.

Perfect - works well, easy to drop harddrive in to place. - The on/off switch is very important so I don't overheat drive.

This was by far the easiest ecternal HDD device I have used. Tjr setup was just as easy. No software to install. Just plugged it into an available USB port and itvstated working. Great product and i will recommend this to others.

This works as intended. Computer crashed and did every hack to try and it rebooted. Finally gave up and I urgently needed to get my data off. Succeed… it is big and sits in the table but the hard drive just clicks in and stands up so I didn’t have to worry about cables pulling and accidentally disconnecting.

Easy to use! No coding, or step-by-step instruction needed! Just plug it into your computer and this, <what my brother calls a "Toaster"> will be instantly recognized as if it were your very own operating system with icons. Uses most every hard drive that has been made from 1990 to present. Insignia, you have pulled a miracle for me as I can salvage both old and new off a crashed computer!

This was surprisingly functional. I had trouble with my motherboard where two of the six SATA ports went out. I was afraid that my HDDs had died, but it turned out to be the MB. One drive was general storage, and the other was a backup of it. Both gone? OMG! Can you imagine the terror? Anyways, to be extra-safe, I bought this drive cradle and used it to make a SECOND backup of data, so I wouldn’t have to keep opening the case over and over and swapping cables on drives. It worked great! My backup is backed up, and then I used the dock to scour old drives and found a ton of pics and stuff that never migrated to the new system. Lifesaver. Motherboard is in RMA, now that my data is secure.

Got this to get some data off some old hard drives, it made it very easy to do. This will allow you to do two drives at once. You can have two of the desktop drives or two of the laptop drives in the unit. You can even have one of each. this will make it very easy to clone a hard drive if you need to.

It works as advertised. I've docked four different drives, both large disc types and small SSDs, and it works flawlessly.
