Very worthwhile if you have some extra HHDs or SSDs sitting around! Note that it needs to be plugged into an outlet!

When I switched to a laptop, I wanted to be able to use the SSD/HD I had in my old desktop and this works for that. Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the speed of data transfer.

I have several hard drives from different computers ive owned over the years that no longer work and now i can use this to access old files and put it all in my external hard drive.

Other than that it did just fine. If you need access to a drive immediately. Otherwise I’d wait for a USB C version. The older USB is painfully slow

Write and read speeds may be limited by USB 3.0 but the drives still functioned well via this and got recognized easily. Well worth the purchase.

Geek Squad wanted to charge me $100 bucks to do the same thing. I retrieved the data PLUS I can still use the 1T hard drive as a backup. LOVE IT!!

Can even leave it plugged in. The two at a time is a nice feature as well. Good product for the price.

The USB3 interface works just about as fast as sata 3 anyway. great for adding big storage drives for media

Excellent Docking Station

This docking station not only has 1 but 2 slots for hard drives. I was able to view what was on an old hard drive and retrieve old pictures I forgot I had. I will purchase another hard drive in the future to store my important files on.

A 2.5" drive feels a little unstable in it, but the 3.5" is just fine. Over all a worthwhile purchase to try and pull stuff off of old drives or expand your PCs size for a little cheaper.

I have only had to use it once or twice, and I am glad I have it. This can save you the cost of a service repair!

My computer died and I needed to get all my files and pictures off the hard drive. (should have backed it all up ahead of time). This device allowed me to get the data and pictures without any hassle.
