I was so pleased with it that I bought a 2nd SSD and also upgraded my wifes laptop.

I had 2 hardrives that were in a laptop that had died and I had a lot of information that I needed to access. Dropped the drives into the slots and had access almost imedeatly. Price was good also

When turning on the docking station I had to wait a minute for the unit to be fully ready,-maybe the older computer. A pleasure to use.

Accepts two 3.5" HDD, or two 2.5" HDD/SSD. Externally powered, so does not need to be powered from PC. It has an additional USB port that can be used to plug in an extra device directly to the dock, to pass thru to PC. This is great as you don't necessarily lose a port when connecting this. Essentially gives you two External Hard drives that can be hot swapped and used simultaneously. Great for cloning/swapping/transfer/backup, whatever you need! Fair price point in comparison to other products! LED indicator to show drive in use. Also has a power switch on back of dock so that it may be turned off when not in use, to save power consumption. I love the eject buttons on the side as they make removing the drives painless and simple.

I needed something reasonable in price and that would enable me to set up a RAID type of system with at least two hard drives. To my surprise, because this item is pretty inexpensive, this thing has worked out great.

It's also perfect for upgrading computers when moving files off your old PC to a new one. It works with standard drives and laptop drives. It has a power switch so you can leave it connected to your PC and flip on/off as you need it. I've had no issues with plug-and-play simplicity. I bought it open-box but it's pretty inexpsensive no matter what. Great purchase!
