Old Workhorse PC broke down for good after 45 years..luckily this was in stock at Best Buy so i could take out the old hd in the broken pc and have INSTANT access to my old PC files..

I wanted pull data off of computer that died. Plug drive in the top, (accepts 2.5 & 3.5 inch drive), plug in USB cable and power supply (included), turn on power switch and read drives as an external drive

It gets the job done. My many features. A little over priced.

First used it to fix an SSD that was affected by an xbox update. After I was finished I put an additional SSD in and connected it to the Xbox for 1.5 TB of fast storage.

This product worked well. It was a bit confusing for me because the USB said in and it worked as an out.

Works as intended very well. The issue that I have with it that dropped this rating a star is the absurd amount of single-use plastics in the packaging.

Handy item, worked as expected for SATA drives, wish it could also do the old IDE drives

Needed this for two old laptops that stopped working. I pulled the hard drives and plugged them into this. I was able to pull any data I needed off the old laptop hard drives! I am very please with this purchase.

My external hard drive broke coz of the power, I was a able to still use it by using this docking station, great purchase, I didn't lose all my files. Highly recommended. and also usb3 speed.

Excellent product. I used this product during the time I needed to swap out my regular hard drive for a solid state hard drive. This product was used in the cloning of my new hard drive.

It appears that this docking station requires a 3.0 USB port to connect to for it to work. Fortunately, we just bought a new computer for my wife so she should be able to use it.

Very handy device easy plug and play functionality, makes the complex chore of checking, extracting, erasing, rewriting data not as daunting as it can be!

Didn't register both drives right away.. Had to play with windows settings for a few minutes, but when it finally worked, it performed as intended.

I had bought another one of these in the past because it worked so well. Unfortunately this was also bought due to the other one failing right after the warranty ran out.

This device reads and writes my 10TB WD drives without issue. However, copying large amounts of data BETWEEN the two drives in the dock doesn't work properly. The transfer runs extremely slow until it just becomes frozen. Same issue when connecting a USB-SATA cable from the dock's passthru USB port to one drive while leaving the other drive in the dock. But the transfer works perfectly when plugging the same USB-SATA cable to a different USB port not on the dock, so it's definitely an issue with the dock itself.

Bought it to transfer my documents from my hard drive to SSD, however I ended up returning it without using, because I was able to retrieve all of my documents without it. I bought it because of great reviews on BB.

With a new hard drive in the docking station it would not show up on available drives to format on my computer. Turned out to be preformatted in a form that could not be used. After getting it reformatted at Geek Squad it worked well.

The dock is ok, but pretty hard to tell if my disk is plugged in properly until I connect it to a PC. Also, the USB in/out labels are pretty confusing by themselves, had to read the manual.

No issue with product. Good, reliable brand for this product, but would purchase from another retailer as this one lacks the ability to provide a modicum of decent customer service.

Overall this product is good because I have and old desktop that has a HDD inside it. The computer was not working so, I was able to backup my files from the HDD to a easy storage space device.
