Great docking station
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The docking station works great. Have used for both 3.5 and 2.5 HDDs. Both worked fine. It is as simple as inserting the hard drive, plugging it up, connecting it to computer and turning it on.

It will only work on lap top hard drives and NEWER desk top hard drives. It will NOT work on desk top hard drives that were around during the Windows XP era. These hard drive connect with cables and the newer ones just plug in. This machine is not compatable with the older ones.

A little slower than it ought to be

This one was about 1/4 the speed of my cheapest one. I'm not sure why it was so slow, but if speed is not an issue, it was a stable connection, I just decided to stop the transfer and return it because I could get it done faster after another job was finished and use on of my other devices.
