Hard drives are heavy (in relation to this unit). The unit appears to be made of light weight plastic. I believe that it would not endure repeated use, so I returned it.

Right out of the box, it would freeze during transfers, corrupt files etc. I tried different policy settings such as enabling and disabling write caching with no benefit. I have another single slot docking station I tried that worked fine and connecting straight to my motherboard worked fine too. I don't recommend this device if your data is important to you. The only pro I can think of is that when it works, it works well.

However, when I insert two drives, only one of them works. It is not reading simultaneous drives for me. Too much of a hassle to return it, so I kept it.

This looked like a good tool for the job. with two drives plugged in, I I transferred files over from the first drive. The next day, I went to transfer files form the second drive, but it was no longer readable. (it was fine when I first plugged it in.) I had to send the drive to an outside service and pay $800 to recover it. I don't know whether this device caused the issue but suggest that you be very cautious.
