    I thought this would read old hard drives It’s does not You have to buy a $15 USB cable that is not included I was trying to retrieve files from a couple old hard drives I had to buy a Trip Lite device From a local computer repair shop

    Partially worked for 2 months. Could only use one slot at a time and could only read the laptop drives. The power regulator blew in the station unit thus killing the device. There was not extended warranty available at purchase.

    Will disconnect the drive 90% of the time when the computer tries to read data off of it, I know it's not the drive because it works fine in the computer

    This is theoretically a USB 3.0 device, but when direct-connected (not via a hub) it connects at only USB 2.0 speed (480 Mb/s). I've been copying data to it for 15 hours and it's only copied ~2.5TB.

    This item showed up in my account as if I purchased it. My numerous attempts to get help from Best Buy have been futile. Has there been a security breach? Was my identity stolen? How did this get into my account?

    I could not get this device to work. I plugged in several hard drives and not a single one of then was able to read. I returned this product and bought a sata to USB cable and it read the same hard drives immediately.

    Overheats, resulting in device stops working.

    Idea is good, practically, you can only use it for a few hours before overheating... this is the 2nd one I purchased with the same problem... its rubbish... it clobbered two drives where I had to recover both the HDD's.. waste of time...

    Will not do Raid 1

    The store clerk told me this would support Raid 1 (Windows 10) which it does not. The support desk told me to return it. I assume it will also not do Raid 0

    Cool idea, but doesn’t work. I tried several times with different hard drives to see if it would work and all lights are lite. But Windows doesn’t recognize the drives. I can plug them in regularly but they don’t work when using the docking station.

    Very few instructions come with this. Supposed to be simple but cannot get my computer to recognize it. I have Windows 10 and have not decided whether it is an OS problem, a hard drive problem, or a faulty hard drive reader. Still working on it but will likely return it.

    Don't buy this product. So many better things out there. I only bought it because i didn't have time to wait for a shipment. Probably would have been faster to wait for something else after the amount of hours i invested in this. This thing is so slow.

    This item was a waste purchase I actually took the item to the store and ask for help only to discover when I got home it can't fit. Now I have an item that I can't use and is unable to return. what a waste of money and most importantly my time.

    The hub did not work for me. It did detect the hard drives, but it wanted me to format/delete my files before letting me use it. Which didn't make any sense i had 2 drives that were fat32 and ntfs formatted. Oh well.
