For this type of simple construction, the fact that the splitter has 3 female ends, You will have to buy an additional cable to make it work. I'm sure it's some kind of money making scheme as I used to like the old splitters, you could plug straight into the outlet.

Asked for help and got an argument. Was given a splitter without ability to plug into router (like the one I already had). I specifically asked (couldn't tell from be picture on box) and was assured it would work. Of course it didn't. One click on Amazon found right product. Wonder why As mazon is taking over the world!
