This looks very nice and does the trick. Make sure before you purchase it that you have a deep box in place. This is deeper than an ordinary outlet.

I wanted these to protect TVs that are wall mounted. I had a surge due to a close lightening strike that blew out a TV and much more. The TV was only connected by electrical plug. So, I can recess this power surge protector and still use my wall mounted TV.

Easy to install and replace my old socket. Hopefully I’ll never need to use the surge feature but this item is perfect for wall mounted TVs.

Not having a huge surge strip protector is a benefit but also having the ease of mind knowing that everything that is plugged into this outlet is surge protected.

This in-wall surge protector did its job when a surge went through my system after a powerline malfunction from the supply line into my house. I purchased these for less than the current retail price, so having to replace one after a large surge was not an issue. However, it did an excellent job in protecting my vintage audio equipment. Did not have any issues with fitting this inside my electrical box since I have fairly new wiring in my home.

I bought this for having the convenience of a surge protector hidden in the wall. It is more of an off white then ivory color. I had no problem installing it in a standard electrical box. I’m not sure how I would test it to be sure it’s functional, but I have to assume it is. I live in a smaller town that has a fair number of power outages. It’s not uncommon for electronics here to get damaged by power surges.

I got these on sale during a Deal of the Day. The cost was 1/2 of what the in wall surge protectors from Home Depot were. I was able to buy several for various areas of my home Saved me money and achieves the same protection. Very easy to install if you know how to switch out an outlet. Be careful when working with electricity!!!

Very cool to have surge suppression built into an outlet. Would get 5 stars if it was smaller--it's about the size of a GFCI receptacle.

These outlets add some protection without adding bulk. It works well for wall mounted televisions.

Disclosure: I haven't had a surge to test this on. But, it was easy to install and look like good quality.

Excellent outlet with built in surge protection. I mount TV's for clients and use this on installations where space is limited. So far, haven't had a single issue with more than 11 installations. Highly recommended!

Easy to install. Works and looks great. Was able to remove the big bulky power cord.

Purchased this to install behind a wall mount TV above fireplace. So far it works just as good as any outlet installed. Great for wall mount devices that need surge protection. Hopefully we won't have to test the surge protection itself, but as of now it works great as a wall outlet for the TV.
