Great price! Very easy install. Looks great. The product wires up much easier than a standard socket due to the hols in the back. No issues with fit. Every port delivers the proper voltage. Very happy with the item. I will purchase other Insignia sockets for my home.

USB charging ports have become a necessity. Phones, tablets, smart watches and tons of other gadgets require a charging port or a USB charger. Not all chargers are created equal and many old models can't cope with the rising power requirements. And if you have a family, it's fairly certain that someone loses their charger and grabs someone else's, which leads to arguments and frustration. In an effort to at least mitigate the situation, I decided to replace some of our electrical outlets with these from Insignia. The box contains 2 outlets with each two 110V and two 5V USB plugs. The design is simple and elegant and the outlets seem sturdy. If you have no experience in basic electrical wiring, I would HIGHLY advise you to find someone who does. It's not complicated but it does require to flip the proper breakers to avoid electrocution. The poles are color coded and there are 2 ways to connect the wires. Make sure you have enough room in the open socket as the power block on the back of the outlet is rather deep. Once wired up and secured, I have checked the voltage for all plugs. The 110V outlets deliver the proper amount, as do the USB ports with a very steady 5V at 3.6 Amps (the amperage seems to adapt depending on the device you connect). There's not much more to say as adding these to your home will make your life much easier and the quality of the outlets seems to be excellent. I recommend these Insignia Power Outlets and I plan on adding more.

Great pair of power outlets. They both come with face plates and two USB charging ports on each. There is nothing you need to wire or do to power the USB ports. You just install the outlets like any other regular one. One black (hot) wire, one white and a ground one, that is all. Once you do the outlet works like any other regular one and the USB ports will charge any of your devices. They were very easy to install, just disconnected power from the main fuse box at my house (so I don't get electrocuted). Then just proceeded to uninstall the old outlets, these new ones fitted right away, its all standard and common holes for the screws and cables. Once done, I turned power on my main fuse box and did a test and everything was working fine, plus the USB ports were charging my phone too. Then I put on the face plates (included) and voila. Ready to use. The only thing is the color of the plastics on these are very white, my walls are kind of beige color, so it wasn't a perfect match... They work as intended, plug any electrical equipment, works fine, and you have the plus of two USB charging ports on each, so no more wasting space with adaptors. They charge my USB devices just fine without any issues, highly recommend it, specially now that companies are no longer including chargers with phones, tablets etc!

It is nice to have an outlet with built in USB ports. Built in surge protection would have been helpful and hopefully it will be added to future products. Two are included in the box and they seem very sturdy. Actually better than the cheap contractor outlet. The template and instructions were fine. The harder part was determining the correct breaker to turn off as our electric panel is mislabeled. Takes about 30-40 minutes for a novice once the power is turned off (having pre-read the instructions). The outlet worked fine. Plugs went in and out nicely. The USB port charged okay with one phone but was very slow with 2 phones. Needs more power for the USB ports. We also installed one in our guestroom. Previous guests have asked for a charger that they could connect their USB port to and this makes it super easy with the nightstand adjacent. Recommended but personally I would just purchase a wall mount surge protector with USB ports. That just plugs into the wall and you wouldn’t have to change your outlet, plus the added benefit of surge protection.

I bought these to use in my foyer. I have a table that I use to charge apple watches. They needed adapters and I only had two plugs. So I had to put an expander in and then plug the adapters into the expander. It was ugly and awkward. So I got these to obtain the built in usb ports. They charge every bit as fast as the adapters do. I think they actaully charge a bit faster. I compared these to my RavPower table charger and they are the same according to the phone I used to determine remaining charge time from. They were easy to install. The back is a bit deep and they recommend a deep box. Fortunately my box had only one run coming in for the outlet and I was able to make it work. More than one, likely would have had to change the box out too. I am very satisfied with this purchase and would buy more where I need this type of USB option. I have had them in for a week and they are working fine. My first time with these so no idea what to expect. But they look solid, so high expectations.

I have bene wanting to upgrade a few of my outlets as of late with some USB plug in options. I was pondering going the USB C route but ended using the typical USB plug in instead. The design of this plug in is nice, it has 2 ports that are spaced out adequately on the face plate of the plug in. the in-wall design is also well constructed, the circuitry and the faceplate is once piece which removes the need for duplicated screws the be used. The plastic material that is used in the build of this is sturdy too unlike other models that I have seen before. Another good thing about this product is that its a 2 pack, if you are adding these to a bed room to book-end in a bed then having one on each side of the bed to align with nightstand is a wise idea in my opinion. The included hardware is also pretty decent, not flimsy or cheap either. All in all this outlet is pretty standard, it is well build, has 2 ports and comes in a 2 pack. So far I have experienced no issues with this item and do not foresee any occurring in the near future.

This pair of outlets is perfect for people who don't have spare charging bricks around their home and still want to charge up their many mobile devices, whether it be for yourself, guests, or more! Realistically, these outlets are a very minor upgrade from standard outlets, just with some added USB charging capabilities for convenience of charging mobile devices without bulk or the need for charging bricks. The installation process is very straightforward; there is a manual included with full installation instructions, but it is definitely helpful to have some extra knowledge of working with home electricity, as well as a tool like a voltage-detector pen for better safety confidence and assurance that you aren't working with live wires during installation (even after turning off the breaker for the outlet). The charging capabilities of the USB ports could be better, but do the trick in normal charging situations - note that they charge at a combined 3.6A, so they likely can't individually beat a high-speed charging brick you would normally plug straight into the wall. The other two normal outlets and rest of the outlet are standard and self explanatory for the pair; the build quality is sturdy plastic and they are white in color with a lightly textured face plate. The real highlight here is the added two USB ports, which can really come in handy in situations/homes where charging bricks are few and far between!

These are very hand for charging your phones or tablets... Check the outlet box that you are going to install this in to see if there 9is enough room... If there are two or three NMB cables, Romex, in the box it will to full to install these... They do take up a lot more space than an average receptacle... The best fit is an end of the run outlet with only one Romex entering it... Be careful....

Easy to install no need for an election (unless you have a habit of causing electrical fires, being clumsy, not knowing the difference between a flathead and a Philips, have a cat, etc). It does make things easier to not have to need all sorts of plug ins to the outlet to charge your (insert choice of phone) and not be able to plug your child’s karaoke machine. So with all that it’s quite useful to have.

So far so good. These are a little bit deeper than the non-USB outlets I replaced. That isn't clear in the specifications, which only list height and width. Whatever 110V AC to 5V USB stuff is inside, it takes up just a bit more volume. Other than that, installing them is as easy as most any electrical outlets.

Perfect for every day needs. Easy to install, look great on the wall, saves the hustle of finding usb power supply. Great peoduct.

These usb outlets work very well! They were easy to install and fit in my outlet boxes without any issues. I like that they are UL listed and are sold in pairs.

I love the option to use the usb port or the regular outlet. I recently moved and placed these all around the house. They were easy yo install and love to convience they provide to charge with out a cube.

Works well easy to install. Everything you need is in the box. The back is bigger then my old outlet so I had to put more pressure then i wanted.

The connections on these are not the best, but as long as you’re careful to tighten them they work fine. Make sure you have good clearance in the box as these take up a good bit of room

Easy to install, I installed one in the family room, more convenient when you can’t find charging block, charges devices quickly.

super inexpensive alternative to what you can get at Lowes or Home Depot. Work just the same and easy to install.
