I love these speakers for my surround sound. I have been told by many that my surround sound system is one of the best and most pleasing to the ears that they have heard. Now i'm not saying these would be good in a room dedicated to home theater, but they are small and therefore take up very little space, which is pleasing to my spouse. If you are going to get these for surround I suggest you have a really nice center channel and a good sub. They are great "surround" speakers. Musically they lack a bit. The mid is sloppy and there is virtually no bass but for 40 bucks these are great.

I bought a pair or these to provide music for a Christmas light show in our front yard. After a little fussing with my equalizer they sounded very impressive. I played mostly smooth jazz holiday music and the pianos, saxophones, and vocals were very bright and clear. My neighbor didn't believe me when I told him that they are the cheapest outdoor speakers that you can buy at Best Buy. They will only play down to 90Hz so there was not an issue of bass frequencies bleeding into our neighbors houses (perfect for our application). You can't rock a house party with them but they are perfect for providing good quality ambient audio.

I like the size of the speakers but they don't have loud sound.

I purchased these for the backyard around our pool. They sound great, not a ton of depth with Bass, but without a sub that's to be expected. I am a bit of an audiophile and my indoor system is intense. I wouldn't use them in an indoor setting, but outdoor they are a great deal and sound good. Interested in how they stand up to the weather, however, I do have then under the awning. Even if they last a season, at this price it would be worth it.

I needed a new set of left & right surround speakers, and these did the trick. They sound great with Dolby Atmos. And I really like the mounting brackets.

Installed l them outside the house and the sound quality is really good nice bass and voice quality, really loud i really recommend them. I expected less sound but i was sorprise how good they sound and the materials are great does not look cheap

They're also mounted under a black display, so I preferred black speakers instead of the white pair I had. They meet my need perfectly and are working fine after a few rain showers. However, these speakers sound ok, not great. The Control 1s sound 5x better, especially in the bass. But these speakers were a fraction of the price and perfect for my use case where audio performance wasn't critical.

I felt the weight of these and saw they handle a decent amount of power, so at $24 bucks open box I thought what the hey I'll check 'em out. Liked them so much I just bought a second pair at full price for my rear speakers to finish my thousand dollar hodge podge home theatre system. I use two difinative bi polar speakers for my left/right, BIC center, and a BIC 12" sub. But the key is I put the bulk of my budget into my 1300 watt Dennon receiver. Sounds insane! Screw buying pre packaged sound systems for 2k-3k and up. Just match components based on your needs. I have a small home theatre room so I just don't need towers.

This is my second pair of these outdoor speakers. The first pair were still going strong (living outdoors even in the NY winter) but 1 got damaged when I had my house sided this year. I expect this pair will continue to provide quality sound for me for many years to come.

These speakers have a very good sound. You can spend 7 or more times the money on speakers and get better speakers, but for what you spend these are great speakers. I use them on my screened porch and they sound great. If they didn't I would put them in the basement and spend the extra money. Any Insignia product I have purchased has been a good product and the Customer Service is second to none.

I was blown away by the sound and volume these little speakers put out. I couldn't imagine Insignia made a decent pair of speakers. I was hesitant to purchase these since their computers are lets say...bottom of the barrel. For the price you get a pair, and they look decent as well. On top of that, they are indoor and outdoor as well. I have them hooked up to a 200w Sherwood amp, and they sound great! I bought them to use outside on my large patio. You will not be disappointed with these. I intend to buy another pair!

These speakers are exactly what you pay for (actually better than what you pay for). 40 bucks is a very reasonable price to pay, I purchased them due to my old speakers breaking, have had them a few seasons now and really enjoy the sound by the pool side. The sound is reasonable even on my deck which is about 60' away. Due to the volume having to be up I'm purchasing a second set for the deck since they are the deal of the day for half price. I have a complete bose system powered by an Onkyo reciever #also a split system using an old Pioneer quad for music on the main 4 speakers# and wouldn't even attempt to compare nor would I compare it to my bose 601 system. But for a total of 60 bucks my yard will be filled with sound which is of an average quality. Don't expect high definition for 40 bucks, but I don't think you would be disappointed in what you get. For the price I'm not to worried if the basketball from the pool breaks one since I think I have already gotten my 40 bucks worth.

These I have in 2 garages and Shop. They are good systems and reasonable$.

These speakers sound good, are well made and priced right.

Tough to beat when they're on sale for $20. Still a good value at the regular price.

I got these on sale and they're perfect for low level music for ambiance outside.

I picked these up on the Deal of the Day. A great deal of positive reviews helped my decision. Easy hookup, included brackets and pads for bookshelf. These speakers are small, and have a big sound. Decent bass response for a 4" speaker, clear highs. They can handle high volumes. Seem to be built good. I plan on picking up another pair to use outdoors soon.

I got these for my mom because she wanted music on the patio. These speakers sound fantastic and the included mounting brackets and hardware go above and beyond expected at this price point. Well worth it.

i just wanted a pair of small speakers for my vintage receiver to hear my tv. these are decent sounding but i could use a sub.

These are a pair of inexpensive speakers for outdoor use. Better than some in the market, but not the best. Sound is decent but not best.
