Bought this to use as external amp to drive 2 channels using pre outs from pioneer elite sc-95 so I can derive all the 11 channels in a 7.1.4 config. These were hooked up to the Polk rc85i in walls and it did an ok job when it worked but sadly it quit working after exactly one use of about 2 hours. The next day, I tried to turn it on and it immediately goes back to standby and did the same even after I unhooked all connections to and from it. Needless to say I had to return it back to store for a refund. On paper it had decent amount of features and great rated power but I highly doubt the power ratings and even tho I only tried with limited set of speakers to test, none of them sounded as good as when driven from more premium receivers like pioneer or denon. The speakers I tested this with are: def tech RLS II, Polk rc85i, Polk mc80, and klipsch 6.5" ceiling speakers.

Purchased and it worked great initially. Pooped out in less than a year!

My 20 year old Yamaha receiver finally died, so I needed a replacement. I'm old school! I need a simple, yet powerful receiver so I can plug my DVD/MP3 player in, and practice my drumming. I've been doing it this way, since I practiced to Albums, in the 70's. Drums are Very loud, so i couldn't have a wimpy receiver. Unlike the receiver I purchased before this one, which wasn't bad, just Way too complicated for my needs, I had it set up in about 10 minutes, hit on, and within minutes, I was practicing drums again. This receiver is Plenty loud. If I can hear the music, over my drums, it's enough to blow your ears out. Basic, bass/treble, volume, and a Very simple set up. It's best feature is the Bluetooth!! I can play songs off of my compute, and Android phone. Awesome receiver, at a very low price. Worth every penny, and more.

I bought this unit several years ago for $79 on a Black Friday deal. And what a deal! I have no need for surround sound for what I am using it for. Connected to a pair of JBL Loft 40 and a Monoprice 8" subwoofer. The receiver rocks! Very good sound. The Bluetooth has AptX which is far superior to the standard format (Sorry iPhone fans your phones lack this feature). Sound quality is stellar when streaming Pandora and SiriusXM from a mobile device and locally stored music is even better. It can reach volume levels way beyond what I would normally listen to. The radio quality is meh as expected (and I don't use it). Bluetooth range is fantastic; my mobile device is usually across the room when connected. The unit looks great on the shelf. The remote is simple but has all the controls I need. A good deal at normal price but fantastic when on sale.

Poor quality, brought 2 in less than a year. Best Buy not staying behind product. Never buy again trashe
