Q: How many speakers can you hook up
A: It is only a 2 channel receiver but you can hook up as many speakers as the ohm rating will allow. You can hook up 2 speakers on channel A and 2 on channel B and play either channel A alone, B alone or both together but you will still only get 2 channel (stereo) sound. Hope this helps.
Q: Can I play 4 speakers at once and they all sound the same?
A: You have 2 speaker options (A+B) on this unit which will give you the possibility of having two stereo zones. Simply select the Speaker A+B option and both will output whatever it is you want to play. I have an L shaped yard and have 2 sets of speakers (one for each side) and it works perfectly.
Q: Does this have an adjustable crossover for subwoofers connected via LFE?
A: This does not support LFE. LFE channels are the 2nd number in any system. 5.1 system means 1 LFE output. 7.2 means 2 LFE outputs, and for this system, 2.0 means 0 LFE outputs.
Q: what advantages are there if i pair this with a insignia tv
A: Adding a tuner, and even basic bookshelf speakers will far exceed the sound of any flat TV on board speakers. There is just not enough space for adequate speaker size, or an ideal firing direction with modern LCD tv's...so the insignia 2 channel receiver would be a nice upgrade. If you wanted surround sound, you would have to upgrade further to get a 5.1 capable receiver (and the additional speakers a 5.1 system would require).
Q: Why do I only get very low volume and decreased frequency response when I connect my turntable?
A: A turntable requires a phono preamp to boost the signal. If your turntable isn't a newer one with a built in preamp, that's why. You can buy a phono preamp. I bought one to use with my 80s era turntable for about $50 and it worked fine. Without a phono preamp built into the turntable or built into the receiver, the signal is too weak.
Q: Can i connect this to my computer to stream Pandora?
A: if your computer has bluetooth use that if your computer doesn't, use a 1/8 to rca wye adapter and wire it in get an airport express for about a hundred bucks and stream from your computer, phone or tablet
A: Yup. Just the way you suggested.
Q: Can this receiver drive large speakers?
A: Yes! This sucker will push the power to pretty much anything you can wire into it. I have some early 90s 4ohm and 8 ohm speakers (4 total) and 2 12" MTX subwoofers all wired into mine and it shakes the house on full volume :)
