The Insignia™ - 200W Stereo Receiver was a surprise with it's clean looks and excellent sound. I have it hooked up to a pre-amp (turntable), my computer and to Alexa (Bluetooth) and the sound quality is fantastic. Power is more than sufficient to power my electrostatic speakers with subwoffer. Great buy!

The bluetooth works well except when it is in use the volume could be set to MAX and the sound is very low. I deal with it and wont use the bluetooth feature. The bass could be better, but I dint expect a great receiver for the low price.

Insignia makes good, solid products. And this Receiver is another example of that. Easy to hook up, and it can do a # of things. Among what we use it for, is to drive a 6-channel speaker system to different rooms in the house.

Radio, bluetooth connection and remote control are a big plus for this Stereo Receiver. Great Product!

Sounds as great as my $500 Receiver. If all you need is 2 channel then get this one!! Dont let the brand scare you.

Don't mind the brand, and don't mind the price. This thing is so sweet, it's really basic but it gets to the point. It surprisingly has a good amount of power, and the music comes out clear. It does not have a lot of options when it comes to equalizer settings, you only have bass and treble, but for this price and what you're getting... you really don't need much more. I use the bluetooth option ALL the time. The range is great, and it does not cut off between walls that easily. I use this stereo for my outdoor speakers, I have 4 speakers connected, 6.5" 2-ways, but honestly, I am happy just using 2 speakers. Music gets loud, bass is noticeable, and the vocals are understandable. The sounds are not muffled, or distorted when turned up. I have not been able to turn it all the way up, and I don't think I ever will have to. This stereo is by far one of my best purchases, I was more impressed than surprised. The remote range is more than acceptable, I can play with the volume and settings from across the pool, (same thing with the bluetooth). It does not have a subwoofer output, which is kind of disappointing, however there's way around that. I have a subwoofer plate amplifier that has line in/line out for your speakers, so I run my speakers in that manner. (The subwoofer plate amplifier DOES NOT amplify my speakers, only the subwoofer). Overall, as you can imagine, I am quite happy and satisfied with this product. Yes, it only has outputs for 2 channels, but honestly, that's all you need. I was going to get a 5.1 stereo for the backyard, but I like i said before, I was impressed with the sound of this item. 200 watts is more than enough.. trust me. Enjoy.

I got this product from best buy and found in open box discount on it and had to get. Just what I was looking for , nothing to fancy just wanted something that was easy to use and hook up to t.v. and had input so could play music from phone, ipods,etc. This is very easy to use and set up , has nice power output and you can hook up devices from bluetooth. Looks great and great price and sound when you pair with nice speakers that can handle the 200 watts power. Give this a try and corpare you will be shocked I think like me.

Alright so I was able to get this receiver as an open box item (although, everything was still completely factory sealed when I opened it up) for just under $60 before tax (awesome price!) and I must say I have been really impressed. Although this is obviously one of Best Buy's in house brands I would say that as long as it has a decent life span (I have picked up a couple of JVC receivers from mid-80s that are still going strong) this is probably one of the best deals currently on a stereo receiver, especially with the added luxury of having Bluetooth built-in (so much better then the extra Bluetooth add-on devices in my opinion). This receiver pumps out power ratings (100w per channel x2 at 8ohms) in the usual range of other comparable (price range wise) stereo receivers including Onkyo, Sony, and Yamaha, and has roughly the same audio quality as the lower end stereo receivers of each of these aforementioned companies, yet the Insignia beats all of these competitors by offering the Bluetooth feature and really enticing customers with the price (this receiver is regularly on sale for between $90-$100 and can be purchased when on sale for even less if you go with an open box one, as I did). So, overall this Inisgnia stereo receiver appears to be a great deal if you can get one for the right price.

Was looking for a cheap replacement receiver and got this on the deal of the day. It's perfect for my need as a straight 2 channel receiver. Nice packaging. Got it home and set up quickly. Basic unit , A/B, AB speaker set up. Three input, CD, Aux 1 & 2. Aux 1&2 have both in/out function. You have to use Aux 1/2 for phono, etc as the inputs have no descriptions, nor does the screen display anything but CD, Aux 1, 2, 3.(?) Haven't figured out what the Aux 3 on display is for as there are only Aux 1 & 2 inputs. Nice feature is the remote. That also has buttons for CD, Aux1, 2, 3(?). Receiver works well with a better antenna, the single wire supplied isn't great, I only got 3 stations to auto program on that. Made my own dipole to 98.4 speck and was able to get the 30 presets. So far so good, unit working well. Bluetooth is ok, losing some definition in translation. All in all I would recommend it, it's a good unit for a basis stereo and it's cheap!

I'm kind of a reluctant audiophile. I don't like all the roo-rah and techno-speak associated with high-end audio. But I do like good sound. I purchased this to run with B&W indoor/outdoor speakers I use in the garage, among the motorcycles and with a cigar, sometimes high heat, often high humidity (live in florida). They usually do duty at the back end of a Bryston studio amp (200 w, circa 2000, very tasty), and a Morrison pre-amp, and -- if the source is clean -- you can hear Vladimir Horowitz's chair scuffling as he leans into a piano solo. Or Neil Young tearing it up on Live at Massey Hall. One of the fines live recordings I've ever heard -- look up the backstory. But ya gotta keep changing the CD and, no objection--I understand the theory--, the Bryston/Morrison set up has no tone controls. Just on/off, volume, L/R balance. Why'd I buy this? Because I want to swing through the garage for a couple hours and bluetooth the years of (low quality) music on my iPhone, without having to screw around. I can "plug" the iPhone into the big set up, but, hey, what's the difference? It's lousy quality from the iPhone. It's much better to click through 15,000 plus offerings on your phone, in you garage easy chair, as you like, w/out the hookup hassle. That's where this unit excels. Bt hookup was on par with Anker Sound Core, Bose, and other respectable wireless speakers. The sound was, frankly, a lot more than I expected. Obviously, the B&W speakers have a lot to do with it. But for the folks who suggested maybe this unit is "underpowered" or gives low volume, I don't get that. It's way louder than I need at half volume. At max or near max volumes, the experience is less enjoyable, but the speakers aren't peaking or buzzing. It's all about the bluetooth convenience, but the rest of the unit's details are impressive.

I wanted the ability to stream tunes from my phone/tablet while tinkering in the garage. Most BT enabled receivers are high end and offer a lot of features. This guy is pretty basic, but that's all I was looking for. At 100 watts its plenty for in the garage and chillaxin around the fire pit outside. Stoopid simple set up and sounds really decent too. I got mine as an open box (*cheap!) and couldn't be happier with it. I have a buddy who saw it and said he is getting one for around his pool so folks can take turns streaming their playlists. Can't go wrong with this set up for similar uses like these for the sound and price.

I was looking for a basic tuner without breaking the bank. I didn't want to purchase a sub woofer either as this is in a small room. I'm very pleased with the purchase. My only complaint is the FM antenna connector is a push on instead of screw on. I had to make a adapter for my outdoor antenna. I also like the Bluetooth option, it works well. The sound is nice and clear with plenty of highs and lows. For a less expensive model it seems fairly well built too. If you are hesitating on buying this just go for it. I don't think you will be let down.

I have a detached garage and had been wanting to add sound for a while. Finally came across this stereo receiver and loved the bluetooth option. I am also planning on showing movies in my driveway on summer nights and using the garage system for my sound. The bluetooth works great and is way better than running a 30+ foot audio cable from my laptop to the receiver. The sound is good, more than enough power to my old school 3-way sony floor speakers. The bluetooth input is a little on the quieter side so the volume gets turned up to the upper limits but still sounds good. Pairing with devices has been seamless. I haven't hooked up the antennas yet so I can't comment on radio reception or sound. I am happy with my purchase- it does what I want it to do.

I installed a set of ceiling speakers in our main living area and a set of outdoor speakers in the back yard. I wanted to be able to run both from a centralized location, so I ran power and speaker cable to a hall coat closet where this receiver now lives. First off, it was on sale for $99. You will NOT find a better deal on a stereo receiver with built in Bluetooth. It's got very good BT range at about 35-40'. With A/B speaker selectors, I can have music inside, outside or both at the same time. As far as the negatives, there are very few buttons on the front. You cannot select the speaker sets, change the bass/treble settings or a few other things without the remote. Beyond that, the bass/treble settings are very simple and do not allow for much "personal shaping" of the sound output. I'm a little disappointed with the level of output in the lower frequencies. My ceiling speakers are 8" coaxials that can reach to 50hz. I connected them to another more powerful receiver I have and the bass output was better. However, I absolutely can't complain much since this receiver was only $99. Other than that, the sound is crisp and clear with no audible sign of noise or hum. I would very much recommend this receiver for its features and value.

Purchased this receiver to be connected to a home theatre setup - Epson 3700 projector and Klipsch sound system as well as connected to several HDMI sources. After a lot of research and consulting with a long-time tech within the AV industry this went on sale for around $600 and I wad advised it would be the best product for that price. After setting up I would agree. Connecting was easy, quality is great, price made sense, and set-up was simple. If you're in need of a review to lead you to the right purchase, I would buy this AV receiver.

This is your basic stereo amp connect up to some speakers and you're set to go. You can have the best speakers connected to it and get good sound nothing amazing but still better than the standard sound from a TV speaker or boom box. the bonus feature is the Bluetooth that allows for most portable devices to be connected wirelessly and seamlessly for your entertainment pleasure. It's a good standard amp at a decent value.

This product met our needs exactly. We were looking for a low cost two zone receiver with blue tooth. The other receiver options we found were at least three times the price. All of our blue tooth devices connected immediately with no issues. Music sounds great from this system. Definitely pleased with this purchase.
