Customers love the 200W 2.0-Ch. Stereo Receiver's Bluetooth connectivity, excellent sound quality, and ease of use. Many appreciate its affordable price and sufficient power. While some found the size a bit large and the bass could be improved, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive.

I just bought a third one, for my mother. It is simple to use, has good sound and the Bluetooth is great. I have one on my porch with second speakers on patio. Bought one for our cottage also.

This receiver was a steal for under $100! It has BT and 3+ inputs. Sounds good especially after a little tweaking of the treble and bass! Def work the $$$!

I bought this to replace an aging 25 year old receiver to get the Bluetooth interface so I could stream audio from my tablet. Everything works fine but the tone of the unit is a little disappointing. With only a two-band EQ of Bass and Treble the receiver cannot be adjusted to obtain a full range of tone without increasing undesirable frequencies. As the bass is increased the unit also brings up the lower mid range frequencies and the unit begins to sound brassy and muddy; and as the treble is increased to bring in clarity it also becomes slightly harsh sounding. I am a musician and these are deal breakers. I have excellent high end speakers and they tell all.
If the unit had pre-amp out and amplifier in jacks I could put an EQ in the system and make it sound great it but that feature was not designed in.
Also many of us still have record players and this unit does not have turntable inputs, a serious oversight for a stereo receiver considering that people looking for a stereo receiver are probably really into stereo and turntables and records are still at the heart of vintage audio. In fact they seem to be making a comeback. Turntables have very low outputs and require a pair of pre-amplifiers which are built in to units accepting turntables.
Overall the features aren't bad and it is super easy to use. If you are looking for an inexpensive stereo receiver then this would be a good unit.

I had all difference brands of receivers and amps. For the price, this is a good powerful clean sounding stereo receiver I have heard. I have own Onkyo, Pioneer, Nad, Carver and difference other top brands of receivers and amps. Insignia plays loud and clear. I would refer the this receiver to all my friends on a low budget.

My parents had a 4 room system setup, and unfortunately the Denon receiver that was powering the system died. I was having a hard time finding a unit that I thought would power the system properly until I came across this unit. With a speaker selector, I can run the zones simultaneously and they all sound great.

Bought this for our home bar and installed speakers indoors and out on the patio. Very convenient to have music playing inside and outside or one or the other. Bluetooth works great! Have played music off of my phone, my tablet, and my laptop. Nothing compares to this unit at this price point. Buy it!

Next to our Harman Kardon A/V set up in the family room, this receiver leaves a bit to be desired in terms of sound quality; however with the Bluetooth functionality and the price point, this receiver is an amazing bargain. I purchased it for my dad's home office and he couldn't be happier.

Bought this unit in May of 2015.
I was looking for a simple 2 channel receiver to hook up my mixer/turntables/speakers and this Insignia receiver has been very reliable.
Set up:
Rane TTM57SL
2 X Technics SL-1200MK2
2 X 15'' Cerwin Vega DX9
Keep in mind this is a 200W amp so it doesn't pick up my 15's, meaning it doesn't provide that deep earth shaking bass but the sound is loud/clean and will not distort even with the volume in the 40's.
I use this amp 3-4 days a week. Some nights I practice 4-6 hours.
Unit does not overheat or turn off - BIG PLUS!
Hope this review helps!

I was looking for a receiver w/ bluetooth for my home garage and came across this Insignia. I have never purchased the "house brand" product from Best Buy; however, I have been impressed with the sound quality and the overall simplicity of this receiver. So far, so good! I have enjoyed listening to my music files and iHeartRadio via my iPhone. BTW, this was an open box item that I purchased for $65.99. What a steal!!! I set the receiver up with a couple of bookshelf speakers in my dining room and think I'll leave it there.

So after my Onkyo 7.1 fried, I needed something to just play music. I got this home, hooked it up and overall I’m satisfied, although this has absolutely nothing on better products such as Yamaha Onkyo etc. I was a little hesitant due to the limited features such as the 2 band EQ and limited number of inputs, plus I’m more of a 5.1-7.1 surround sound type person, but this was more in the budget. I’m curious to know exactly what the RMS output is per channel, because it’s not too powerful, but the clarity is there. When increasing the Bass, i noticed the mid range also increases and the sound becomes a bit muddy, plus the treble is ear piercing at high volumes. All in all it’s an okay receiver I would recommend it if your looking to increase your TV listening experience, or just listen to music, but if you’re an audio buff like me, and appreciate quality sound, I would maybe pass on this and wait for a better deal on a better product.

When on sale, this is a great bargain unit for basic 2 channel amp with minimal features. Best uses are for garage, second listening area, or outdoor pool area. Business use within limits.
No one should confuse this with a home theater receiver. This is really not meant for that. Its two channel only, limited power, limited connectivity, limited adjustment, and basically limited everything. However, if you can accept those limits and make this very use specific, there is a good value here.
I had an old pair of Yamaha NS-A200XT's that I used to use for home theater a while back. Paired with this amp, I think they sound ok. Clearly, this amp isnt putting out anywhere enough to really max out those speakers, but the sound quality and level is actually better than I thought it would be. I really didnt care for HDMI or having lots of connectivity options. I pretty much want this for radio and BT only. I feel the tuner is at least ok with the included antenna. It finds plenty of local stations and plays them clearly. BT sound quality is not fantastic, but that is a limitation of BT. It sounds ok, though. BT range is actually more than I expected. I have some BT stuff that wont connect stable over 10 feet. This unit is stable up to about 25 feet.
Basically, within the limits of the unit, everything is at least ok. Because the unit includes BT (and with good range to boot), this is actually a good deal. Comparable units from others are in the $150-$200 range.

I got this to replace my 20 year old Kenwood Receiver (Yes Kenwood used to make home stereo equipment), that finally crapped out.. Hooked it up to the floor standing speakers and it sounds so good. Especially when watching Netflix or playing the Xbox. Bluetooth works really good. Price is unbeatable.

I was looking for an inexpensive receiver/amp to use in the garage. BB had this on sale for $99.00 and I decided to look at it after reading the great reviews. When I got to the store I saw that it has APTX Bluetooth. That sold me immediately. If you don't know, APTX provides a clearer connection (CD quality) if you are streaming from another APTX device. I can't believe BB is not advertising this feature! The receiver sounds very clean and clear. The BT works flawlessly with my laptop and phone. IN summary a real "best buy" for me!
