Shelves are garbage, break in light daily use. Manufacturer will not stand behind product - call lines/web site support is how may we not help you. Best Buy will not stand behind, and will not accept return after 15 days.

Nice refrigerator. Roomy and works well. I requested a copy of the warranty I paid $134 for and they promised it would appear on my website account. A month later and a dozen support calls, I still cannot gain access to my website account. I am totally blind to be able to view my purchase details with warranty details. After weeks and ten hours of phone calls and support, I give up. If I ever need warranty support, all I can do is show them a hard copy of my receipt, however I have not details proving what the 5 year warranty even covers. Every time I ask them to mail me a copy of the warranty, they say they cannot and I have to view it online, which I have never been able to do.

I ordered this freezer and a refrigerator. On the day they were to be delivered I received a call from Best Buy to tell me the freezer had not arrived at my local store yet & it would arrive the next day & then they would call to schedule the delivery. 2 days later No Call from Best Buy. To make a long story short...this freezer is back ordered from the manufacturer. But they will not WILLINGLY tell you that. One of the men at the local store did finally tell me. We were expecting a beef & could not wait indefinitely, So buy with caution.

Let me start by saying I've had this unit for about 8 months now. I was stored in a clean garage and never moved since the install. It has worked seeming good up until recently. The door was accidentally left open on the freezer and the alarm did not go off. After some trouble shooting, it appears that the front panel that reads the temperature malfunctioned and was reading a temperature of zero degrees so the alarm never went off. I lost about $1200 worth of meat. I would highly caution against this model. Originally the first unit I received when I purchased this new had to be sent back because I received it all banged up. The unit that was faulty was the second unit ordered. Beware of this company.

My unit was delivered on Nov 30, 2020. Today on March 20,2024 start smelling like plastic or battery burn inside and stop cooling, the refrigerator was setup to 35.6 F˚ but was not lower than 50 F˚. Refrigerators generally last for an average of 12 years, according to the U.S. Department of Energy. Based on that my unit suck. Buy the warranty and assume you will replace after 4 years.

Freezer failed after 2 1/2 years. Bought to replace am old Frigidaire upright freezer that lasted over 20 years, over 10 of those years in a garage in Texas. This one couldn't make it 3 years in a house @ brought 72 year round. Pathetic quality, but not surprising considering the quality I've expected with other Insignia products.

This was a great unit. It worked wonderfully...until it didn't. Purchased this unit April, 2020. Worked good for 3 years. Then it stopped working. Would not keep cool. Temp hovered around 50 degrees. Called repairman. He said the coolant system has a leak somewhere. He said it could be filled but would keep happening. Also said that this unit didn't take regular refrigerant and would be a pain to refill.

I had this for about 4 months and it stopped working. I lost a whole freezer full been over a month and fighting with them to pick it up and give me my money back. They said I could come get a new one but never have them in stock and I wouldn’t buy this one again anyway. Never have had so much trouble with get a refund and this piece of junk out of my house.

Purchased and delivered 4 days ago, set at -24C and it cannot go down to 0C. Nothing is frozen. Called Best Buy for a return, but the customer service is not helpful. I was transferred to an Indian guy who was annoying and had no authority to even make an exchange. I am currently waiting for a technician who is supposed to come a few days later. Very annoying experience.

This lasted me 3-4 years. now wont freeze anymore. smh.

This does not cool food. They sent a technician who had no idea what to do. Tried calling again and cant get anyone on phone. So upset with Best Buy and there lousy brand. And the bummer is I got rid of an old refrigerator that cooled the food!!!

1 star for Besy Buy in general as I've tried for weeks to buy this freezer, 2 not just 1, to no avail. Can't even backorder this freezer. Shopping elsewhere, thanks, click...
