Using as a freezer. Supposed to have a audio notice if the door is not sealed. Unfortunately for us, the door was left open just a fraction and we only discovered it the next day. there was no audio alarm, and if we hadn't been showing a friend the new freezer we might have lost over $1400 worth of frozen food as well as a brand new 1/2 side of beef.

The freezer works well but the shelves are so far apart that you can't stack items easily, organize them or find them. Everything gets jammed together. I tried buying adjustable shelves to insert but they don't help.

I bought this model for the size, and believe me this thing is massive! So far its doing a great job! A family of seven needs a big freezer.

Love this huge freezer and its capacity to flip from a refrigerator to freezer as needed. Now that I have 1 I need another and they don't have any in stock. Will wait for them to hopefully come back.

We purchased two (via separate orders) of this item, one to use as a freezer and one as a fridge. Both arrived in good order. We didn't actually unbox them until about 9 months later (we were waiting for our new home to be built) and initially the one setup as a freezer wasn't cooling enough - wouldn't get below 40 degrees - so we did a warranty request and the entire unit was replaced with a brand new one (still in the box) and that replacement has worked flawlessly for about 5 months now. The one setup as a fridge has worked just fine from the beginning. The only (other) problem we've had is that (as has been stated in other reviews) the plastic bracket that holds the two drawers at the bottom has broken on the fridge (after about 5 months) under the weight of the drawers (even though nothing THAT heavy - e.g., cheese, carrots, celery - has been stored in them). I'm currently in the process of trying to see if Insignia will repair this apparent "design flaw", even though we're now about a month outside of the one year manufacturer's warranty. Overall, we're still happy with our setup and choice of units.

Have been using it as a refrigerator since being delivered. Plenty of room that we needed compared to having the conventional refrigerator freezer in one combo. Will be buying another one to use strictly as a freezer

I bought this for the laboratory I work in where we use it to store refrigerated reagents. It's spacious enough for containers of varying size and the convertible feature is a nice option for the future if we need it. Curious to see how the temperature will fluctuate over time, but so far no alarms have shown any significant increases or decreases.

This unit works great,we have it running as a freezer and it's working fine, it is very quiet.

works as expected. we use it as drink fridge, kids love it. holds plenty of gallons, bottles etc.. door storage is perfect for kids drinks
