Good size for my daughters room, she plays her Switch on it and loves it. Easy setup and terrific picture. For $80 it’s a steal.

    Great Value for the Price!

I am using this TV as a monitor. You have to turn off the overscan setting so that your PC's desktop fits properly on the screen. However, I cannot figure out how to get the TV to go into sleep mode when the PC goes into sleep mode. The TV screen stays on with a no signal message, and then eventually shuts off, but shaking the mouse or pressing a key on the keyboard does not wake up the monitor. You have to press the power button on the remote to turn it back on. Not a big deal though, since this is a TV, not a computer monitor. I join a few of the reviewers regarding the difficulty I encountered when attaching the two stand legs. I disagree that they are wobbly. If they are wobbly, then you quit too soon. You have to be persistent and really tighten the screws, as they are actually cutting threads in the plastic holes in the base. The legs are solid as a rock if you tightened the screws properly. For what I am using it for, the quality is great, and the price could not be beat.

    Great Display, Okay Sound.

This TV's picture is great, while side to side viewing angles are well, bad, the picture washes out quickly, the up and down viewing angles are great with no color distortion (at least from what I can tell) but the sound, well, how do I put this, it is a TV. I don't know what they do at the factory, but at first the speakers were awful, just terrible, only highs but after using them for a bit, it got mids and even some bass, but it still has a bit of a 'muddy' sound to it. For the remote, it is just a standard TV remote. And no, the power, channel and volume buttons are not green. They are glow in the dark, which I found pretty useless since those are the easiest buttons to find on my last Insignia TV (which was from 2012 btw, these things last a long time for the price). The TV is a little chunky, but that is fine, bezel is average, feet seem sturdy and quite planted in place, I don't see it just moving, but if you bump into it, it will move. Vesa mounts protrude out from the back, so flush wall mounting is not possible unless you put it inside the wall, it has a little adjustable tie thing in the back to hold the power cable when moving the TV (very nice touch) but it is not removable, don't try to rip it off. It won't work. And if you owned a Insignia TV in the past, you probably know what I am talking about when I say this, it still has that 'hot plastic' smell when turned off after running for a while.

    Great Small TV

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This is a basic TV without a lot of bells and whistles. But, the 22" screen is quite clear with very good color reproduction thanks to 1080p. The sound is surprisingly very clear, loud and dynamic. It sounds better than my 32" TV from a competitor. I bought this TV on sale for a substantial discount for use as a bedroom TV. I was concerned that it might not be that good because of the sale price but after viewing it for news, football and TV shows I am very impressed with its picture and sound and pleased with my purchase. This is a great small TV for use in small rooms and as a PC monitor. My only complaint is the "sound" guide. Shut it off for setup or it will drive you crazy.

    A Diamond in the Rough

I bought this a year ago to use for my tiny efficiency and to carry around whenever I travel with my Xbox to game with my host. The construction feels light and cheap. Care should be taken when moving it from place to place. For such a small TV, you really are getting a 1080 picture. It works with consoles out of the box. Input lag is unnoticeable, so gaming mode is entirely unnecessary. The speakers fire down and provide a surprisingly adequate amount of bass. A soundbar is only necessary if you are picky about audio. This TV is a hidden gem and will shine for any small space or travel needs you have.

    Has Everything I Needed

I bought this model 1 1/2 years ago. I use it on my covered patio and cover it with a plastic bag when rain threatens. Twice I knocked it off the table onto concrete; I got lucky and it suffered no damage! Great picture w/1080. The two HDMI ports made DVD and ROKU always available. After buying it, I installed a cheap outdoor antennae, and get all but NBC free (I don't have cable; too $$$$). If I finally destroy it, I will buy it again.

    Smelly TV

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Happy with the picture for the price. My only complaint...the TV stinks. Literally. As soon as I opened the box, I was hit with a pungent chemical odor, similar to RoundUp or Weed-B-Gone. 4 days later, the smell is still noticeable. Hoping it goes away over time.

    Good sound, flat un-exciting picture

I had a 19" insignia TV for several years. It worked great - excellent picture and sound. But then I accidentally bumped it on my kitchen counter and it fell to the floor. So I went to Best Buy to purchase another one, but liked the slightly larger 22" version , which is also called 'Full HD TV' and offers 1080p resolution. Got it hooked up and found the sound to be excellent. But the picture looked 'flat' and lacked brightness and sharpness. I made adjustments to it but never could get it to look anywhere as good as my old 19" Insignia. So brought it back and exchanged for the new 19" Insignia and found that TV to be excellent. Good sound and really sharp and clear picture. And $10.00 less expensive also. Note when you are attaching the feet to this TV: Make sure to really tighten the screws so there is no wiggling. Then the TV will be very stable.

just picked this one up today for 80 and can't find any flaws with it. not a smart tv and am glad it isn't. i have it mounted to a speaker stand. Just enough picture options to dial things in to get a decent picture. no dead pixels. also works well for a computer screen. watched netflix on it and looks nice.
