The feature can be turned off but the problem I was having is that it wouldn't "remember" when I would turn off the TV and back on so I would have to turn it off every time, which got quite annoying. The way I permanently fixed this is I went into the settings and under every single preset TV mode I turned off the overscan.

This was on sale and it surprised me to be such a good TV, it gets fairly bright which was my main concern given the bright lights in my kitchen usually being a problem with my old one.

Purchased as a monitor for my security camera. I viewed as a TV and was able to scan all local TV channels. Good reception as a TV. Hooked it up to my PC and was uable as a monitor with great resolution. Price was great and very pleased with the purchase.

We use a firestick for most of our viewing, and this fit the bill. It works well for our needs and seems like a good fit for our need. Time will tell if it will last.
