Problem with cable TV @ 1080p 60Hz

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV for a small bedroom to watch HD cable channels from an Xfinity XiD-P HD box connected via an HDMI cable. Details of my problem: When I connect my cable box to the TV's HDMI 1 port, the screen says that it is displaying at 1080p 60Hz for just a second and then there is an audible pop from the TV and the screen says it is now displaying at 1080p 24Hz. When I bring up the cable box display settings, it says it is sending out 1080p60. If I leave the TV on and restart the cable box, the TV will SOMETIMES stay on 1080p60. But if I change inputs to something else and then go back to HDMI 1, the TV changes to display 1080p24. I then have to restart the cable box and hope that it will stay on 1080p60. Steps I have already taken: I have done extensive troubleshooting with Xfinity support and on my own. They had me return/replace the cable box TWICE to be sure it wasn't an issue with the box. I have tried putting the cable box HDMI cable in HDMI 2. Same results. I have put a Google Chromecast in HDMI 1. The TV stays on 1080p60, consistently. I have exchanged the Insignia TV for another one of the exact same model. It does the exact same thing as the 1st TV. NOTHING I have done has made any difference! I just emailed Insignia Support for help. If they can't help me, this TV is going to be returned.
