Today, however, "no frills" means it has Wi Fi, a bunch of built-in streaming apps, the ability to download the ones it doesn't have, 1080p resolution, several input/output options, etc., and it's just the right size for the space it was intended. In other words, it's just what we wanted and at a reasonable price. For that it gets five stars, not for its picture and sound quality.

Haven't hooked up the smart TV performance. Was fairly easy to get going. The sound is good. The picture has good color but very poor when having to view from other than straight on. Distortion and color blanches if viewed from sideways. Lots of surrounding space is necessary in order to turn it around to use headphone plug in. A different base would have helped.

Good TV for the price

We love it so much that we decided to get this one for the bedroom. It's a great little TV. Like all TVs today (including the big one in the living room), it needs a decent pair of speakers to be attached, but otherwise, it's worth every penny. I just hooked it to the bedroom stereo, sitting between the speakers. Whatever happened to putting even halfway decent speakers into a TV, anyway?
