Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hi guys - want to give you a heads up if you plan on buying this TV for mainly the Roku software avoid it. I’ve had it for several months in my kitchen. The volume is hard to hear, the stand is wobbly but when it worked streaming on the Roku apps I had no complaints. Best Buy is no longer putting Roku into their Insignia TV’s and signed a deal with Amazon instead and it shows. I use DirecTV Now and with the recent update it no longer works on this tv. The app takes about 3 minutes to load when you turn it on and constantly crashes forcing the whole tv to reboot. I have other Roku sticks and Apple TV’s and don’t have this problem. At 1st I thought no problem - I’ll just put a new supported Roku stick in the tv - but you can’t. They made this tv so the Roku stick won’t even fit because it’s too long. Instead you have to go buy a 90 degree adapter for the hdmi to get it to work. I explained this today to the BB manger and said this is ridiculous and now I’m having to spend half the value of the TV just to make it work again. He agreed and is allowing me to bring the TV back so I can get something else. Think I’m going with the TCL brand with Roku software. Please avoid this tv if you plan on using its Roku software. If it was still supported and didn’t crash I wouldn’t be returning.

Excellent alternate streaming music device
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Despite this being a TV, I bought it to stream music. I could stream music through the Roku stick attached to my 60" TV. Using the built-in apps, I enjoy Pandora, TuneIn, and CalmRadio. Using Plex, I could access my digital library on my PC. However, I do not want to have the big screen on while I am listening to music. Its smaller 24" screen stays tucked neatly by the remaining audio equipment. The headphone jack patches nicely into an available receiver input (TV volume @ 40). The remote codes are available for the Logitech universal remote.

Exceeded Expectations
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We are extremely happy with this purchase. The Insignia 24" Smart HDTV with Roku was easy to set up and has a much nicer picture than the 20" LCD HDTV it replaced. The Internet and blu-ray player connected just fine and they look great. We love the Roku and all the viewing options it provides and I easily added our Amazon Prime account. The remote is very intuitive and easy to use and we can switch between the HD Antenna and the other viewing options with ease. It 's a great value and it exceeded our expectations.

24 inch Insignia Roku
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I give the 24Inch Roku Insignia Tele a 2 stars Great picture and sound. But it does not have dual band wifi after updates it has interfeared with my internet and my other Roku tvs I kept on getting HDCP on my 4k and 1080p tvs. The 24 Inch Insignia Roku is my Mom's tv hers kept lagging and freezing up and she had only since last summer. It ran really good until now. So she had to buy a dumb tv and got a Roku stick instead and ever since no problems now my internet is running faster now that the Roku Insignia tv is out of the picture. I tried the rest button and reactivate it still did the same thing so I didn't know what say. But I cannot figure this out on how the Insigina roku tv could effect your other devices and not to mention my modem/router. To slow things down. But like I said ever since we had deactivate it everything is running a lot quicker now. Can anyone out there Figure this out? If Insignia could fix this problem before selling it would be great. But at the moment I would not recommend this tv or any Insignia device. We had their tablets for not even a month and they were very very slow. Insignia should have put 2.6 ghz or higher processors and 64gb or higher storage with 4gb or higher on their tablets. And Tv's. This would make customers happy.

good picture, bad connectivity
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this tv a few months ago for use in kitchen. Set up was very easy and picture quality is good. However its ability to connect to wifi is poor. The tv is within 15 ft of the router and settings report an excellent signal. However most apps load slowly and will freeze. Some apps, like you tube tv are very slow and even show a disclaimer that you are using a "lower performance device" . Ironic for a tv whose main selling point is wifi based use. If your ok with slow starting apps and some freezing the tv will work for you. Otherwise buy something else and use a separate device like the Roku stick etc.

My 2nd Insignia
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am so impressed with the 50" 4K TV that I purchased in May that I replaced a 22" Samsung with 1080i! in my kitchen with this 24" Insignia! Technology has greatly improved picture quality even with the 720i No problems, all is perfect with this purchase!!!

Great roku tv
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have been using Directv now and instead of buying kludgy roku boxes or sticks wanted to give this a try. Downloaded directv now app and it all works very well. Option to hide old style inputs is nice. Picture and sound are good.

Works Great!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice little tv for the price. I use it with my video editing setup that I use to transfer old vhs tapes to dvd. And the Roku is a bonus. I use spectrum streaming and the Roku feature has that built in.

My 2nd Insignia
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was so impressed with the 50 in Roku based I purchased May 2017 (read review) that I purchased this unit for my kitchen Oct 2017! As expected it has never caused problems just like my 50 inch in the living room! I am grateful to BB for the quality that was used in production!

Great and sadly discounted
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great TV, last me 4 full years when I only got it for $70 on black friday. It would have lasted longer if my little sister didn't break it.

You're not buying a TV, you're renting one
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this 24" Insignia Roku TV just over a year ago, and for a year, it worked very well. But over the past few weeks, its ability to connect to WiFi has dropped to the point where using the internet connection for more than a few minutes is impossible (note: I have verified that other devices, including a different brand of Roku TV, work with our home wireless connection.) I brought the TV in, and was informed that it would cost me $35 just to send it in for repairs-- which may or may not resolve the issue. The salesperson then suggested that I could buy a stand-alone Roku box to fix the problem, but had the same issues. This is a great TV if you've made peace with the fact that you'll only be able to use online features for a year; otherwise, I would stay away from Insignia Roku TVs.

Loses WiFi signal every 2 hours
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv is about 2 years old. Every 2 hours or so, no matter what I do, it loses connection to WiFi signal, even though the tv and router are only about 6 feet apart. The only way it will reconnect is to unplug the tv for about a minute and then plug it back in. Then in 2 hours do it again. All updates have been made. Will be looking for a different tv.

If I had just listened to my gut...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Piece of Garbage. Our remote quit working less that 2 months from purchasing it. You can't use this without the remote because it has ONE button on the back...1 (one)?! So, forget about trying to bypass the remote. Also, the sound quality is poor... like you can hear it from the other room better than the room you're in. How weird and stupid is that? I may toss this through a window because the "helpful" chat I just had online with some Best Buy Associate. WHo informed me I have passed the return date.SO fun.

You get what you pay for!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this Roku TV for my kitchen, but it turns out is worthless. The Wifi reception is poor even when I have it within 5 feet from the router to get it to work, and since there is no ethernet connection I cannot just plug it into my router. The processor is also very slow, pressing volume up or down sometimes has as long as a 3 second delay. I have a similar TCL TV which is much better this Insignia. I am returning this Insignia and I will glady pay more for a Roku TV with and ethernet connection and a faster processor.

Don't buy this.. stick to Roku streaming device.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the worst tv that I have ever purchased. I have to advise to go with the Roku streaming device instead, as I have had no issues with those, however the Roku TV comes with a very slow acting response to the remote and quite frustrating volume issues which will drive anyone crazy.

not for basic cable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is not friendly for a 78 y/o to use. Not able to turn TV and watch it and flip channels. It requires 2 remotes, a search and find mission every time you turn it on. I have to leave TV on 24/7 because if it goes off, I need to call someone to find cable. You must go through an interface in order to watch.
