Firetv doesn't have Miracast :-(
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Firetv doesn't have Miracast to directly cast smartphone to tv! There's also on Amazon that helps, somewhat! (2) this firetv only have 4GB flash, versus the 8 or more their stick have! (3) TV uses 45-50 watts of electricity for being so small, normally huge, 42+ inch uses so muck! (4) it's rather thick for flatscreen! Thickness compared to plasmas! .... First fire TV, firetv is better than Roku, sideload any app on firetv! Sadly, disappointment, it didn't have Miracast included! (5) the screen is plastic, or vinyl, I'm used to glad, or something stronger, impenetrable! This screen is like a laptop screen! (7)to get to sleep time, while watching TV, or open app, is rather difficult!

Posted .Hi Mark.
We are really grateful for your advice. While the TV has no Miracast built-in, you can stream a multitude of apps to the TV via the Google Cast function of certain apps, like YouTube.

Ok, for price.
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased this tv for our downstairs bathroom . It only has a few problems. When I first turned it on, I found a white dot in the middle of the black screen . I decided it was too much to take it down.

Not worth it
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a decent TV, if not with a bit of a weird design. It's also rather laggy. I recommend just buying a dumb TV and adding a Chromecast with Google TV.

Very slow processor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this TV to replace one that wasn't a smart TV. I was very disappointed with how slow it operated and the picture quality to the point I donated it to the Salvation Army..

Fire TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV because it was a Fire TV edition. I have ATT Uverse service and there is a Fire TV app which should work for viewing the cable network. This feature does not work. Not sure if it is the fault of the TV or the app or ATT Uverse. Roku works better so I would probably buy that kind in the future. I didn't pay much for the TV and all other apps work, but it is disappointing that the reason I purchased this kind of TV turned out not to work as planned.

Disappointed with USB option
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Expected that the USB port could be used to run a "slide show" from a thumb drive. Needed this for a demo to show product information. Didn't get the job done.

didn't last long
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.broken screen after 4 months of purchase. I know nothings supposed to be hitting a TV screen but son accidently threw a toy at it and cracked the screen like it was thin ice. U have a Samsung TV aswell thats taken quite a few hits from sons toys and ots a big difference in quality ..its 4 years old and going strong. I liked this tv but ended up buying a Samsung.

Fire TV aspect doesn't work
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this TV to replace the combination of an old LCD TV, Harmony hub and Alexa. I was hoping for it to be all-in-one. But, due to a bug in the implementation of Alexa for the TV, it did not work. So, I ended up using it like a regular TV and getting a Fire TV Cube to use with it. That mostly works ok, although it sometimes doesn't automatically tune the TV to cable.
