However, the remote is the only way to control the tv and the remote would not program. Worked with geek squad for resolution and no resolution could be found. Had to return a birthday gift and find different tv with comparable options.

Waste of money

Tech support was terrible. Sent me a new remote and problem still exists. Also CNN app is worthless. I keep having to reinstall for it to work. Best Buy should be called Worst Buy if you have a problem. Because the TV is two months old, they will not allow me to exchange it. Terrible customer service to go along with a terrible tv. Would not but again.

Quality / sound of TV

Also, when you turn it odd and turn it back on at some point, the TV opens up to the apps screen. If you have FIOS or cable, you have to get the TV’s remote to turn it back to the input setting for cable. Would not recommend this TV if you’re using it in a bedroom or living room.

Awful

It constantly stops the show you’re watching to go back to the home page-app page. Every few minutes I am having to ask Alexa to return to my channel or go through the prompts to get back to my channel since the remote does not have channels on it. I called Signa who thought it was because it needed to update so we ran the update and it seemed like that was it. Now it’s back to the same .. While I’m writing this I had to stop and put my channel back on. The software just stops and switches you to the app page or home page? I went to setting and turned the apps to off but it still does it. Don’t waste your money unless you are just watching apps. Not sure if that will even work. Sound is awful as well.

CAN'T MUILTITASK

Besides being a Fire TV, he also has his own firestick. The TV setup was fine, and yes just like any computer when you first turn it on, there are a bunch of updates. This should be a normal expectance in this day of life. As we connected his firestick, we had no issues. Video and audio. What was horrible was when we connected his MacBook Pro via HDMI, the display was blurred / double vision. It was not CLEAR at all like watching the streams. If you were to type an essay, you would get a headache if you were to use this. I've been in contact with Insignia, and it is clear, they are just passing my case over to level 1 support. Awful. I guess I have to go back to using the Z24n Display and connect the laptop via VGA and the firestick via HDMI. Though the speakers will have to be bluetooth, at least the image will be crystal clear. Now I can't return this because we threw the box out when we moved him in. Now this will sit collecting dust

Terrible TV - Tons and Tons of Problems Streaming

My hope was that because it had firetv built in, that it would service as an excellent "streaming-only" tv as I subscribe to a bunch of streaming services and have fast internet service. It turns out that this tv is actually terrible in that regard. Horrible. Numerous problems with streaming. Sometimes the screen saver would get into a mode where it would cut in, inexplicably every few minutes and cover up the programming. Other times it would just freeze up, or throw an error message and just quit. You could barely watch tv for 10 or 15min before these problems would start. My advice is to get a "regular" tv, and then add on a roku or amazon fire externally. They are MUCH more reliable.

Low Price, Low Quality

This is NOT user friendly. I have a Toshiba and two TCLs, thought I would give this brand a try because the price was so low, but now I feel like I wasted the money and should have just paid a bit more for a good TV.
