We wanted to connect the computer to the tv, and it works just fine. I was able to get a 12 fit cord, which was just enough room for what I needed.

The TV and player are close to each other so the length is long enough to reach to connect the two.

I saw no loss in clarity or performance for the extra length.

Cable is perfect with my Samsung TV

The cable was necessary to enable the soundbar to automatically go on when the TV was turned on, opposed to turning each on separately. Works wonderful.
