Would not make ice only filled the ice container with water. Inside panel would get hot too. Which is a sigh of poor insulation. Do not recommend.

Got a lemon

Fridge breaks down.

Then, a few weeks after the one year warranty ran out, the fridge began to die. The lights quit working. The alarm that indicated the doors had been open too long stopped working. No matter what we did, the door prop alarm would not work any more. We even had a Best Buy tech come out. He could not figure it out. Then Best Buy stopped making the water filter. We had to buy knock off water filters from Amazon, in order to have ice and filtered water from our fridge. After a month or so, our fridge began to leak water. All over our floor, ruining the wood-treated panels. They all swelled and got ruined.

Horrible purchase

I’ve had the fridge just shy of 3 months and the freezer already went out and the fridge portion is going out also. Please invest a little more and buy Samsung! Insignia is pure trash.

Not impressed with this refrigerator.

Defective Cooling System

I had set the refrigerator's temperature at 35 F, since then, but come to find out after I had placed a calibrated thermometer that the internal temperature was registering 50 F. Meh, it’s ok

Freezer seal didn't work, twice.

After a technician came and replaced it, it worked for a few weeks, then the seal stopped working again leaving my freezer useless. If the seal worked, it would be the perfect refrigerator. But it doesn't and it is being returned for something else.

Not worth it

It is incredibly difficult to get the needed parts and we actually ended up being told to return the first one we had for a new one because they couldn't fix it. Now this 2nd one is on its 2nd repair. It's also impossible to get replacement filters for the water line. I generally don't mind Insignia products, but this one is not worth the hassle. Wish we hadn't bought it.

PIECE OF JUNK - DON’T BUY

Since I didn’t buy the extended warranty, Best Buy and Insiginia wouldn’t repair it, told me to get a local company to repair. Called a half dozen local Appliance repair places and they don’t me they don’t service Insignia brand stuff. Lemon of a fridge and a lemon of a company. DONT BUY THIS FRIDGE. Piece of junk

Insignia es a brand from Best Buy. Apparently they don’t have replacement parts for this refrigerator so it’s imposible to fix it! I all ready spent 3 weeks waiting for this people to help but they just sent me from one person to other asking for what I all ready did! DO NOT BUY NEW BRANDS, they don’t know how to respond when it breaks.

I purchase this fridge 15 months ago and it has stopped working already for the 2nd time. giving codes for the thermostat. we lost all of our food AGAIN. Needless to say the warranty is only a 1 year.
