A: If I understand correctly, this refrigerator is a fairly recent addition to Best Buy's Insigna store product line. In answer to your questions: 1) I cannot say that the doors are removeable. The delivery men turned the refrigerator sideways and did not have any problem getting it into my house since my entrance doors are 36 inches wide. 2) I do see fingerprints along the door handles while we are still getting used to the flat handles, but they wipe off well. I like the flat appearance without handles sticking out, but I am right handed enough that the left side seems awkward to open. Just not used to it yet. There are more important positives that I am glad to have. 3) I was told the names of two different manufacturers when I asked three different store clerks: 1) LG from two of them, including one manager and one clerk who had specialized training for LG and 2) Whirlpool from the third clerk who actually rang up the sale. Both are good brands, but one of the main things I wanted was the French drawer. I tried all the samples from both brands at the store and the drawers seemed thin and too flexible for my taste. This Insigna has proven to be more sturdy with thicker feeling walls and less flexible bottom. It does have plastic drawers in the freezer instead of coated wire. The only downside to this is that both upper doors have to be open to pull out that French drawer. The ice maker is built into the top drawer with a container for dumping rather than a more self-contained enclosure. The water dispenser is rather small, too. I bought this product sight unseen since there were no samples in the store. I did not particularly need the door ice/water dispenser, so I am more than happy with the quality, size, and price.
