    Breaks easily

    Be cautious when opening the right door. The pin at the top breaks easily and will cause the fridge to not seal anymore. Other than that, it’s been an average fridge. Just cheaply made.

    Insignia is a terrible company, Best Buy is not much help either. We bought this fridge and within the warranty the water dispenser broke. Neither Insignia nor Best Buy could even find the part, and so they decided it was wear and tear and not covered. We now have another issue where the fridge thinks the doors are open even when closed. The fridge beeps then the light goes off. We replaced the part the Geek Squad recommended, but to no avail. What's going to break next. Terrible company, and again, Best Buy is no help either. We are preferred buyers for Best Buy through our business as well.

    I bought this fridge 3.5 years ago for $1400. A couple months after purchase the ice maker broke and I could not get ice. Now the whole machine will not turn on . it just powers down. The worst part is trying to get someone fro GEEK SQUAD to help. Its futile. I feel completely ripped off.

    I love the simplicity of this refrigerator, very sleek and not a lot of gadgets and programing to deal with. less things to break and wear out. just what we were looking for and the price was an added plus!

    I have owned this for less than 4 months and have already had problems. The freezer door does not seal on one side and has had to be taped closed to maintain the temperature in the freezer. It is also very slow to make ice.

    Do Not Buy

    Positives it is big and it looks nice. Negatives the doors were uneven. Attempted to adjust the doors based on the instructions and there was no way to make them even. Then part of the water dispenser broken. Attempted to buy replacement parts and they don't have them. The ice maker stopped working and shortly after the fridge and freezer stopped being cold. It wasn't even 4 years old. Contacted Insignia and they told me to contact Best Buy to repair it. Best Buy told me they don't work on "Sealed Systems"...or at least no one in my area does. I was told to contact a third party to repair the fridge. I contacted multiple third parties and was told they don't work on Insignia. When I asked why I was told "We choose not to". The warranty was only 1 year and no one will work on this fridge. Now I have to buy a new one and it won't be an Insignia and certainly won't be from Best Buy.

    I bought this less than 3 years ago. I did not buy the protection plan. Best Buy is unable to service it now that the freezer is not working- they do not have any technicians to work on a sealed compression system in my not so small town. It seems we live in a disposable society.

    Garbage refrigerator

    I’m fed up with this retry. It has been a problem from the get-go. The doors catch on the freezer drawer and pull it out enough to cause everything in the freezer to thaw. I have to have a baby latch on it and even that doesn’t prevent the freezer from occasionally tripping off. I would never buy this product again. So disappointed. Of course customer service cannot and has never been helpful.

    Poor shelving, fit loosely. I got this fridge, and the shelving was poorly made and bad overall. I also got the 5-year protection plan, thinking that might help, and their rep mentioned that it's considered physical damage and doesn't cover it and should buy them myself. Very dissatisfied with their brand and product.

    I've only had this fridge for 3 years and it has already went out! I should've known when i first bought it and had to immediately get a new one because the one that was delivered and installed didn't work. SMDH!

    It died before it's 1st birthday. Called the Sears because we have our home warranty through them, they paid us the cash to have it replaced. Do not buy. Made in China.

    Bought 1 and the Refrigerator Died 8 months then tried to get repaired under best buy MFG warranty that was dead end after having 1800 best buy hang up on us 5 times and then saying they would repair it then nothing then no parts available and then would not get certificate to get swapped in store, FInally went into store got manager to help us out then the next one died 14 months after that DO NOT BUY THIS FRIDGE!!! Now we had to buy yet another fridge going with a Samsung this time so we can stop having rotten Food
