We plugged it in to make sure it worked. For the little extra I paid for the warranty for 4yrs it will cover the time away. Daughter loved it.

Seems to be of good quality both in design and function. The red color is really eye popping! I was thoroughly surprised at how cold the fridge actually gets! You can be sure your beverages will be ice cold.

I've been looking high and low for a small fridge/freezer combo that had a freezer component large enough to actually be useful. My search was fruitless until I saw this unit from Best Buy. It is EXACTLY what I was looking for and the retro design is really cool. My mom's fridge from when I was growing up in the sixties looked a lot like this one! Also like tremendously that they provided useful shelves in the door. Most mini fridges assume everyone is buying them to keep 50 cans of soda cold and fill up most of the interior door space with soda can holders. This little fridge is actually useful.

It works well for the purpose and is very quiet. I had to remove the bin and one of the shelves to make room for bottles so I can't comment on those features. I like having the separate freezer section for ice cubes. There is not a separate temperature control for the freezer section, but it does keep the ice frozen with the refrigerator set to 4, which is the recommended setting. I haven't tried freezing ice cubes though; I only add frozen cubes. The instructions say to turn the refrigerator to its max setting of 7 until the ice cubes have frozen then turn it back down to 4. Which seems like a lot of work. I am happy with my purchase.
