The cord is longer than I need - there was nothing shorter available at Best Buy. When I first plugged it in, the plug seemed a little loose in my Ipod. The other end was fine in my Bose, but the connection did not work. When I switched the plugs end for end, the fit was better and the connection worked.

Most video/audio/internet data transfer isn't reliable over cheap cables. However I am ill prepared to spend 100 bucks for a 3 foot cable! Trying to find a balance is important for entertainment quality and value. This cable succeeds in breaching that divide
