Excellent freezer for unheated space such as a garage. Holds food for emergencies or when we have excess. Runs quiet, small footprint, low energy use, good price. Several months of continuous use with no problems. Haven't defrosted yet but looks easy.

Simple, Reliable Operation It features a reliable Mechanical Dial temperature control on the exterior, and a visible Power-On Indicator Light, which is reassuring. While it is a Manual Defrost unit (typical for a highly efficient chest freezer), it includes a drain to make the occasional defrosting process much simpler. The estimated annual operating cost of $26 also makes this an extremely economical choice. This Insignia freezer is a no-frills, highly efficient, and perfectly sized solution for anyone needing extra reliable frozen storage, especially in a garage or basement. Highly recommended!

I wanted a small freezer for my garage for so long! I'm so happy I finally bought one!! It is the perfect size and holds the temperature amazingly well. Also, it's super quiet and the price was excellent!!! This is my second Insignia appliance from Best Buy and I would highly recommend this brand.

This brand offers a selection of sizes. This one fit great in our laundry room and gave us a great second freezer without taking much space. I picked it up in my SUV, plugged it in to a regular outlet and let it get cold. It works and looks great!

No issues so far and works for my needs. It is VERY roomy and great for a small home. Only complaint is the lack of light on the lid like the other bigger models but it is not a huge deal. One positive surprise is that it has wheels on the bottom which made it MUCH easier to move around, especially when we kept re-organizing the room it was in.

I have had this for over a year now. Great compact freezer if you have limited space or not. It has just the right amount of space in case you need some extra freezer space. Working like a charm still.

I picked mine up directly from the store, so I can’t speak to any of the issues other reviewers have experienced with damaged items from shipping. I have been shopping for a compact upright freezer for years, and this one fit the bill perfectly when it came time to buy one. It is very compact on the outside while still being plenty roomy on the inside. note, that you have to leave space on the right side (facing the unit) for the vent. In my case that’s the perfect spot to store a stepladder because it won’t block the airflow. I’ve only had it for a short time so I can’t speak to it longevity but it is well constructed, got cold fast (the instructions say to wait 24 hours before turning it on after it has been in any other position besides upright for transport) and it looks nice next to my washer/dryer.

This Insignia Garage Ready Chest Freezer withstood outdoor camping elements for 10 days of extreme heat. It was kept in the shade to assist with keeping the unit working in appropriate order. This freezer did not let us down. It kept everything frozen as intended. We used it to make our ice for coolers and place all the fresh fish caught on the lake. The trick is to make sure it is cold before unplugging and traveling with it to your destination. Make sure you have at least 3 gallons of frozen water jugs inside when you travel. Could not have saved our fresh caught fish during vacation without this unit. Plenty to bring home for fish BBQs!

This deep freezer works great for storing breast milk! It keeps everything frozen solid and organized, giving me peace of mind knowing my supply is safe and fresh. Plenty of space and very reliable.

This is my second time buying this freezer, not because of broke, but because poorly planned a move. This is a great deep freezer that holds a lot of food. And it’s a great size for an apartment. I was able to fill it with food hours after delivery. It’s quiet as well. For those with tiny freezers attached to their fridge, If I could make a suggestions, get a cheap food sealer to maximize space.

It's a good size freezer for our family of four. It's more spacious than I thought and it's fairly quiet. Been wanting an extra freezer for quite some time. Should've gotten it sooner. No more stress of trying to fit all my frozen groceries.

We bought this freezer to take camping, mainly to put fish in. It is much larger than I thought it would be, but my husband can pick it up. It is the perfect size for us. If you just need a small freezer, you can't go wrong with this one.
