Great for anyone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to replace a failed enclosure and found this one and once installed it worked perfectly on my hard drive that already had data stored on it. My favorite feature is the power switch so that I can turn it off to save power

Doesn't power my 3.5" SATA drives
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was pretty excited to get this since I need to back up a lot of data and had a spare 3TB HDD floating around from an old NAS I just got rid of. Unfortunately, after getting it all put together and plugging it in, there wasn't enough power to spin up the drive. <- Big frown there, my friends. I verified that the enclosure worked by snapping in a 2.5" drive and flipping the switch. No problem powering that! I'm kind of upset because the box even says it will work with any bare 3.5" SATA Hard Disk Drive. But I guess neither of mine will.

Didn't work
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Didn't even get recognized by my computer. It could tell something was plugged in, but claimed "Drivers weren't working". The external didn't work on three different computers and the Hard drive should be working perfectly.
