I spoke with a very helpful customer service rep, but she could not arrange for me to pick up a remote at the nearest Best Buy. I received a different model Insignia remote the next morning from Amazon which works perfectly.

However, make sure you keep your original TV remote because there are some functions that this remote will not open such as the Samsung Hub.

Not sure if it was mt TV or the remote that was the issue. The remote was of good quality but not pairing was the issue
