I thought it was me, but then my grandson tried it. Same thing. My husband and daughter tried, still nothing. It's a weird looking paper weight at this point.

The sales person picked this out and rang me up. First of all, its for 2 devices plus volume, not 3 different inputs. If you had a tv, set top box, and blu ray, this remote could only control 2. Device "3" is a sound bar (aka volume +/-). Well it also does not control any 2 devices you want - just a TV and set-top (cable) box. I don't use cable and specifically went in asking about a blu ray player but the salesman said we could program any 3 devices to the 3 buttons and control them. Nope, I tried just about every single 4-digit universal remote code to see if the STB button could be programmed to control our Sony blu ray player, and its not possible. Ok, but did I get it to control my LG tv? When in TV mode the power button will turn our LG on and off but every other button is mis-programmed. "Home" brings you to settings. "Back" doesnt do anything. The entire remote is completely worthless. I can't find my receipt to return this.

Posted .This may cause by using the family code sets, not every code work correctly. Please follow up the user manual to try another code set.
"If one or more buttons do not work as expected, start again at step 2 till ALL buttons on the Insignia Remote works. Your remote will start with the next code in memory.
1 Turn on your device and point the Insignia universal remote control at it (if you are setting up a streaming device, make sure a movie or TV program is playing).
2 Press the device button you want to set up (for example TV).
3 Press and hold the SETUP button until the LED on your remote button blinks twice.
4 Press and hold the number button for your brand and device, as listed in the tables above (or example, 3 for a Phillips TV). Your remote will send the power signal every three seconds.
5 Release the button as soon as your device turns off. The LED blinks twice and your remote will now operate your device."
