Can use as good but not great computer monitor

I bought this as a cheap FHD monitor for my computer. First, here are the ideal settings I found... Picture settings: Backlight: 0-70 depending on your preference Contrast: 97 Brightness: -1 Color: -6 Tint: -11 Sharpness: -6 Advanced: White Balance Color Temperature: Warm Red, Green, Blue Intensity: 0 Mid Luminance Gamma: 5 Dynamic Backlight: Off Dynamic Contrast: Off MPEG Noise Reduction: Off Dynamic Noise Reduction: Off Edge Enhancer: Off GOOD - Color and contrast seem very good. Videos and pictures look excellent. The backlight is very, very bright. I have mine turned all the way to 0; I like my computer monitors much darker than most people. Colors and brightness appear uniform over the whole display and the refresh rate seems good for office/video usage (not sure about gaming.) BAD - You HAVE to use the suggested settings above (or close to them) to make it usable as a PC monitor. The default settings look absolutely awful. The down side is that sharpness has to be reduced somewhat (to -6) to avoid white or color glow around text and other edges. Granted, using any 32-inch 1080p screen as a monitor is going to present a challenge balancing sharpness overly blocky looking pixels. But this lower-end panel in particular I think suffers from glow around letters if you try a sharper, blockier picture. I prefer the slight dulling; it reminds me of reading text on an old Sony Trinitron CRT. There is still some very slightly noticeable color halo around bright red or green text. Since the TV struggles with color edges in general I could simply not picture using this for any kind of web, print, or video design. I doubt a designer would even consider a device at this price point. I am using it for office documents, web, and coding. Another downside is that there is some odd parallax effect on the pixels to the extreme left and right edge of the display. You kind of lose visibility of 2-3 rows of pixels at each edge due to this. But it is not really noticeable when working. The biggest downside is that the TV makes you switch to HDMI every time you turn it on. And, if you simply let your PC "sleep" (but leave the TV itself "on") the TV will eventually shut off anyway. OVERALL - If you want a big, cheap, 1080p for your computer on a very tight budget, this is a good option. Don't expect crispness but do expect to be able to get work done on a very big screen with nice, big icons and text.

Probably the best $149 tv. 1080P smart tv. I got this to return an insignia 720p for just 30 bucks more. My only issue is the fire tv remote, drained new battery in a week. I read the remote needs a reboot. So far after 2 weeks battery still ok

The TV itself is really great. The sound, the image qualities, and the apps are all on point. It was super easy to get it set up and it is super easy to navigate. The only I would change is the size. I wish I had bought a 43-inch instead. I thought there wasn't going to be enough space for a 43-inch screen in my bedroom but I was wrong. Get a bigger screen, it's worth it.

This is an excellent TV. It's picture is very sharp and clear. Setting the TV up was simple and easy. The TV is intuitive and guides you very effectively in it's set up. The price is outstanding and it included free delivery within a few days. I highly recommend this TV.

For the price, the value is good. Set-up was pretty easy with the streaming channels I have (Disney+, Paramount+, etc..). Make sure you have your info (i.e. email and password) ready. It doesn't have all the niceties (i.e. screen beaming from phone) as more expensive modules, but for the price it is good. I does have parental control which is nice since we put it in a 10yr old's room.

Nice TV I use in den, size good for an old cabinet I have. Wireless internet. Alexa nice for smart controls and security cameras … kinda acts like a large monitor for cameras …when I’m not watching TV. Excellent price on sale

For the money, this tv has a very good picture quality. I was looking for a true firetv vs a firestick. This fits the bill just great. I am able to load my fav apps and don’t have cable connected at all. I could put this TV anywhere around the house with WiFi or Cat6.

I really liked this TV except for a noise prone tuner. I would get occasional pixelation and even brief freezes as a result. The problem may be due to something as simple as inadequate shielding, or perhaps I just got a bad sample. Other than that, the picture is excellent. The sound is also good, and you have option of using enhanced dialog, which I like. Updating the software is crucial as the update has significant improvements, but you don't have to leave connected to the internet. I exchanged it for a Samsung and the Samsung does not have the same problem, although it is 720p and I paid an extra 30 for the exchange.

Just the right size for the laundry room. It's not hooked up to cable and gets a very clear picture of the major channels. As a smart TV, it connects to the household Wifi and gives us access to Netflix and other channels that require a sign-in.

I like it but since I've never had anything like this, it's slightly confusing to use. I'm getting there. It was easy to make the Wi-fi connection. I'm hooked on the free streaming services that come with it. It does do a weird thing. While I'm watching something, the menu occasionally pops up. (I'm wondering if it happens when my internet has a slight disconnection.) As I'm looking for something to watch, the show descriptions don't stay up long enough before it just goes ahead and starts. Great picture. Great sound - I don't even need a sound bar anymore. Like my old Insignia, it automatically adds channels without rescanning. I still have to move my indoor antenna around sometimes.

I had a large flat screen TV "die" on me, so I ordered a new 65" inch TV through Best Buy. However, due to the holidays, supply chain issues, etc. I couldn't get the new TV delivered and installed for about two weeks. My solution was to go to Best Buy and purchase this very reasonably priced 32" Insignia model to fill the void while waiting for the 65" TV to be delivered. Set-up of the Insignia was simple and straightforward, I was quite pleased with the picture quality and even the audio was more than acceptable. My only complaint about it was that it took many, many clicks to get to the sleep timer to set it and then get back to whatever I was watching. There may have been a shorter route, but I could never figure it out. When the new 65" TV was delivered I put the Insignia back in its sleeve and box and put it in storage so I have a temporary spare when another TV in the house inevitably fails sometime in the future.

I bought this to go in my breakfast nook in the kitchen at my new house. It already had a mount so I thought why not put a TV there. It has Fire TV and Alexa built in. It has a good picture and it was not expensive. Just what I needed for a kitchen TV. I would buy this TV again. Thank you.

This TV is easy to operate and my MIL loves it. It's large enough to watch at night without it affecting her vision. She also loves that I could choose a larger font size for the subtitles. Now that she can watch her Netflix/Hulu shows before bed, she's a happy camper.
