I bought this "Insignia - 33-Lb. Portable Ice Maker - Stainless steel" and hope that this one is a good brand to have for my husband, as his gift for Christmas. When this machine was delivered, he wanted to open it right away. As soon as we opened the box and read the instruction, we tested it. So far, this machine works as it is described. I hope it will last for years.

Owned for 8 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this for camping and when my Samsung ice maker freezes up. it makes 10 of three thicknesses of ice cube tubes every 20 min or so and hold almost a gallon of water. this comes with the holding tray and scoop to bag the ice as th tray fills up so it will make ice until the tray is full. The con is if the tray fills the unit will stop and needs to be turned off and then back on once the tray is empty.
