It gets top marks for removing humidity, absolutely wonderful for that, but for my use, I have to knock off a star because it also heats up the house, which I had expected, just didn't expect it to heat things up as much as it did. But if you're looking for something to keep your basement dry and you don't mind it warming the place up, I'd say it's a no-brainer, it will do the job nicely. But if you want to use it in your living space, be prepared for it warming things up quite a bit.

No More Damp Basement

This pulls the extra moisture from the air and has eliminated the "old house" smell. Super easy to use - love that it's on wheels so I can move it from room to room.

At the starting 65% humidity, it was pulling right at 35-pints a day out of the air. Now that I'm down to 40%-45% in the air, it's only taking 25-30 pints out a day. I'm very impressed with the ease and features for the money and my basement feels much better now!

I have both sizes and like the 50 pint one more. I really didn't think I would notice such a big difference. It's not too noisy but it does warm up our room when it's running. Easy to empty. We have a drain hose hooked up to the 50-pint one so that it empties automatically into our floor drain

Great Bang For Your Buck!

I've been using it for over a month, and I've been very satisfied with the amount of water it collects. I live in a state with a lot of rain and snow, and it's always had moisture, dampness, and a mild odor problem in the basement. Not anymore thanks to this dehumidifier. This has kept my basement dry, and I haven't had any more musty odors. I would say this size unit is perfect for an entire basement. The only downfalls to this is its not easy to empty and its a bit difficult to clean out.

It was musky down there and the air seemed heavy. Within 12 hours the bucket was full and the smell of mold was gone. Best investment I made. Wish I bought this sooner.
