I'm really happy with this humidifier. It is in our basement, so noise is not a huge factor, however it is much quieter than the one it replaced. It is nice looking, easy to operate. Please not that it DOES NOT come with a drainage hose if you want to direct it to a drain or sump. The hose it takes is thankfully a standard garden hose type of hook up. When this was delivered to us the box was seriously messed up and the UPS driver was unapologetic. Thankfully the unit was fine and has been working well for a few weeks now. That has nothing to do with it or Best Buy, I only mention it because the unit held up well despite the packaging looking like it was thrown off a building onto a busy highway.

I purchased this on a Daily Deal in the hopes that this product could help control my humidity problems. Without this dehumidifier my downstairs living space would average 68-75% humidity on my inexpensive LCD hygrometer. This dehumidifier has worked flawlessly since it's initial purchase and has brought my humidity level down to the upper 40's to lower 50's. I was amazed at just how much moisture was pulled from the air when I dumped my initial container of water. Since I ran it over night I do not know how long it takes to fill the reservoir. I personally do not find it to be noisy and can watch movies and television with it running 15 feet away from me. The unit is much larger than I anticipated but I've never looked at humidifiers in person to have the experience to judge where this 35-pint model falls in regards to competing model sizes. Some reviewers have commented that it is cumbersome to remove and replace the reservoir when it is full and that's accurate. Really the issue is realigning the bottom of the reservoir with the grooves in the humidifier. Sorry. No helpful hints on that. Overall I'm completely satisfied!

I've had my Insignia 35-pint dehumidifier for a few weeks. It's performed very well at keeping my recreation and adjacent rooms at a comfortable humidity level. It's easy to toggle through the humidity levels to select the desired percentage for the unit to run in auto mode to achieve and maintain it. Its noise level is noticeable, but it isn't too loud and I don't have to increase the volume on my phone when streaming music or on my TV.

I end up returning it, because it a little bigger and it's louder than I expected. It does the job very good, almost full tank of water everyday, but I'm looking for something small and quiet since I have only 1 bedroom apartment.

Works great but the only small drawback is that it can emitt warm air so the room can be a bit warm in the summer but this would be great in the winter.

Very happy with this! Cant believe how much of a difference it makes in my basement just within the first 12 hours of using it. The amount of water it takes out of the room is crazy. Only this i would change is I woulda got the bigger size so I didnt have to dump as often

I bought this because I live in Florida, and I had smells in my home....due to excessive moisture. I have an open concept home. I put this is my living room, and it works great. I do have to empty it about 3 times a day, which can be annoying. But overall great machine. It had a hum, but just like anything else you get use to it. This is actually my second one. I put one in my bathroom. I know the description indicates it will work for 2000 sq ft. I don't find that to be true. But I am extremely happy with the machine.

We bought a couple of these for our house just in time, before all the dense humidity moved into our region. They were heavier than we anticipated (just under 40 lbs) but since they’re on rollers, they are easy to move around once you get them out of the box. The operation is nice and quiet, and emptying the water accumulation in the tank is very easy. I’m completely stunned by how much water this humidifier can pull out of the air in a short amount of time.

Thank you for the detailed feedback. We're glad to hear that the units arrived just in time and are performing well in managing the humidity in your home. It's great to know that despite their weight, the rollers make them easy to move, and that you're impressed with how efficiently they remove moisture from the air. We’re also happy to hear that the operation is quiet and maintenance is simple—those are key features we aim to deliver.

Unit runs very smoothly. Easy to set up and very quiet noise. I attached the hose for water dripping into the sewer ,so I don't have to worry about emptying the bucket. It was running day and night without any sign of malfunction. Good brand, good modern .I'm very satisfied.

BEST PURCHASE I’VE MADE THIS YEAR

I am truly in love with this dehumidifier. I purchased this items while it was on sale and it is probably the best thing I’ve purchased all year long. My home gets abnormally humid and I’ve previously purchased a sort of bag with beads to suck up the moisture but that didn’t seem to do much. This dehumidifier sucked so much of the excessive moisture out of my kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. I originally thought a part was missing but it was inside the machine. Removing the collected water is extremely easy, you just remove the lower portion of the machine, dump out the water and return the part back into the machine. I will say I was a bit confused in regards to setting a timer on the machine BUT after reading the manual, I was able to understand how to work that helpful feature. The plug in cord is a 3 tong type of outlet cord which would be needed to plug in directly to a wall outlet rather than an extension cord. The plug isn’t too long, I’d say about 3 feet long. The machine has 4 wheel on the bottom of it which makes it easy to wheel the machine from room to room. One of my favorite features is that when the machine is first turned on, it quickly assesses how humid the room is. As it begins to suck the moisture of the room it is set in, that number begins to go down. The lowest amount of humidity that this dehumidifier goes to is 35% humidity. My rooms are usually at about 75% humidity and will go down to 35% humidity after about 60 minutes of the machine being continuously running. I enjoy pouring out the water that it collected, it’s like a reward! Just knowing that the possibility of mold growing due to the high humidity is nerve racking and this machine has definitely lowered my anxiety from mold possibly growing inside the walls. I’ve owned this machine for about 2 months now and I have no negative feedback to report. I can honestly say that this dehumidifier is a 100/100 point rating, I have absolutely no bad feedback to give. This dehumidifier works great and I would definitely highly recommend this item to anyone looking to buy a dehumidifier.

TLDR: Worked great for 2 summers in Georgia, but suddenly stopped working. Unit is pretty loud and large, check the dimensions and consider an extended warranty. I purchased this dehumidifier in June of 2022 and it worked wonderfully from that date until November of 2023 when we were displaced from our home due to a small leak in the home. The dehumidifier undoubtedly helped during the leak and pulled a lot of water out of the air for two very humid summers in Georgia. We stored the dehumidifier in the garage while our home was repaired (for about 4 months). When we moved back into our home in March of 2024, I rolled the dehumidifier back inside and plugged it in, but it no longer removes water from the air and it has not worked properly since. It will turn on, but does not remove water from the air. This is a big disappointment since we only got 2 summers of use out of it. Of course the warranty is only 1 year. I will probably purchase an extended protection plan for the next one. I'm not sure which I will purchase, but they all seem to be the same devices with different manufacturer labels on them.

Thank you for the detailed and thoughtful feedback. We're glad to hear the dehumidifier performed well during those two humid summers and even helped during a difficult time with your home. We understand how frustrating it must be to have it stop working after what felt like a relatively short period of use, especially outside the warranty window. Your insights about the unit's size, noise level, and the importance of checking dimensions and considering an extended warranty are incredibly helpful for others. We truly appreciate you sharing your experience.
