I use the hose attachment so that it can continuously run the water back out. (The hose is not included) But i frankly love this thing. I keep it on all the time. I only need to clean the filter out every couple of days.

Answer - Absolutely. The basement feels much cleaner and dryer now.

This thing ran for a week and the smell is gone. Ok, yea it’s probably to small for a 1800sqft basement, but it knocked the humidity down from 70% to 55%. It has a hose attachment so you can run it to a drain rather than emptying it daily. The settings are confusing but eventually you can figure out how to set a target humidity.

It is like an air conditioner that is not venting the heat it produces to outside. It works slowly, so patience is required but not included. The cost was good for the size and ability of this dehumidifier.

It’s easier to breathe as the air isn’t as “thick”. Definitely recommend everyone (especially those that live in the humid south) get one!!

This bad boy will definitely lower the humidity in the area you place it in. It does generate some heat but not a deal killer.

We attached a standard garden hose for automatic drainage into our utility sink. It runs 24 hours a day, and so far we haven't had any issues.

However, the amount of heat that it produces is quite a lot. If you live somewhere that is humid and somewhat cool (below 80 degrees F) then it may be okay. Anything above that and it just makes the entire space too hot to deal with.
