    I am not sure whether this works poorly or if we should have had a larger one for the basement although it is not a large basement and this says 2000 sq ft. Best Buy’s return policy is 15 days, so I cannot even exchange this item. I don’t think I will ever purchase from them again, that return policy is outrageous, especially in a pandemic.

    It's bulky and puts off a lot of heat for its size. Spend a little more and get the known brand names out there.

    Started Leaking After 4 Months

    I purchased two of these in October 2022. After around the fourth month, one of them started leaking. I still can’t figure out where the leak is coming from but it is no longer useable. For this, I would not recommend.

    Received faulty unit

    Unit powers on and fan blows, but that is about it. When I first plugged it in, it made a buzzing sound like the compressor was trying to start, but then it would stop. It would do this three to four times in a row and then the fan would just blow. I ran it for 8 hours and it didn't collect any water. Ordered online, so now I have to repackage the item, drive to Best Buy and find a different brand to purchase.

    Bought first one, stopped working after a couple of months. Bought a second one, stopped working after a couple of months. Under warranty but have to bring to best buy and lengthy headache-causing process

    Insignia Best Buy Brand - Worst Service

    I purchased a Best Buy - Insignia Brand - dehumidifier and it did not seem to working properly. Called their customer service number and a representative picked up the phone. Said i should hold on while he researched the issue. After holding on 53 minutes, gave up and hung up the phone.

    I put this dehumifier in my basement, and after a month I drained the water bucket only 4 times (once per week). It still seemed to be humid in the basement, so I put a different unit in its place and the other unit drew 2-3 buckets of water per day out of the air. This barely works.

    It didn’t work right out of the box. I can return it but they have no more of that one if I want one I can pay more for it. I bought it because it fit my budget and size was good for location . Theresa

    Bought March 17 and it failed on September 1st. little over 6 months and the humidity senor failed, it runs constantly. Best buy said I can't return it because it passed the 6months return policy.

    Turbo mode stopped working after only a month..

    It works well until it doesn't We have had it since 6/15 and its 7/14 - the turbo fan mode no longer works. Just normal mode only. No longer returnable either.

    Today is the machine dead. Havent use it for months. Now plug it back in. All it dod was beeping and control panel is dead. Not lighting up. Not good.

    High hopes but... Too much heat!!!

    I thought the first one I purchased was defective because it would ame the area 7-10 degrees warmer so I exchanged it. Second one did the same. Don’t like the extra heat it produces. My other dehumidifiers do not do that.

    The purchase was easy but having it shipped to Best Buy didn't go as planned. Thinking that having the dehumidifier shipped to the store would lessen the risk of damage was wrong. The employee brought out a box that was beat up. Upon opening it there was only minimal damage and we needed it so we kept it. The dehumidifier is working okay considering but it makes you wonder how they have all those well packaged, undamaged items at the store but this gets smashed.

    i can adjust the humidity so its useless! tried calling the 877 number, waited 15 min for the call to be answered and then the person on the other end did something and i lost the call. great customer service, not!
