It absolutely works great when it comes to dehumidifying the basement. The container that collects the water fills up quickly which tells me I probably should have gotten a bigger one. The 4 not 5 rating relates to putting the bin back in. It doesn't slide in evenly and I worry it might hreak. The solution is to connect a hose to it which we intend to do eventually. The directions aren't great either but it definitly does the job.

Excellent Dehumidifier, works great for basement approx 800 sq ft.

This dehumidifier is working great and the tray is easy to remove a s put back in. I chose this option because the room i wanted it in does not have and easy way to drain from a hose without running one thru the house. The water tray has a handle on the inside a s hold quite a bit of water. There is also a level indicator.

I have gone thru 2 dehumidifiers in the last 5 years. Purchasing this one thru the deal of the day lowered the price enough to get a 4 year warranty. This unit is easy to set up and with the humidity adjustment set it so it does not run constantly. The container that hold the water is a little flimsy to remove and install. Other then that it works well, hoping it lasts!

First few days I had to empty it twice as humidity level was up to 68. I'm now down to checking every other day and level is around 38. Plan on connecting to drain so I won't have to check but this dehumidifier works great. Musty smell in basement was gone in a few days and even feels cleaner.

Happy with the purchase and glad to have this for a basement that was flooded during a storm. The dehumidifier was larger & heavier than expected but with a 35 pint, I am making fewer trips to empty the load compared to my old dehumidifier. There’s an option to hook up to constantly drain, but have yet to try this out on a future date!

Great basement dehumidifier, ran strong all summer.

Bought this dehumidifier to replace my Frigidaire Dehumidifiers which only lasted 2 years each. I will never buy a Frigidaire product again since the two I bought were kind of expensive and not reliable. So far, this Insignia Dehumidifier is working great and hope it is more reliable.

Seems to work fine, using it in basement. It is larger and heavier than others I have purchased but the reservoir is large eliminating having to empty as often. For $10.00 more I should have purchased the 50 pint dehumidifier.

I searched for several days for a good dehumidifier. Best Buy had the best price with the best-extended warranty. If you plan to run this 24/7 I highly recommend the warranty. Also, I like that when you put the hose in the back you don't have to tilt the unit for it to drain. I would recommend this dehumidifier.

Works great. The only thing I didn't care for is having to empty due to not having a way to use a drain hose. While it does a wonderful job it puts out loads of hot air to disperse the humidity.

Easy to set up and use. Has some nice features and doing an excellent job.
