The warranty is for one year from the date of purchase, so I missed it by 4 months and am out the money now. My advice is to spend a little more for something better.

The settings are also enough to drive even the stupidest air conditioner user to the point of questioning their own sanity. Hitting it did little to help (although varied)

It also consumes ton of electricity because there is no energy saving mode. Best buy shipping service was slow, took 2 weeks to areive.

This insignia is supposed to cool 350 sq. Ft. My room is 200 sq. Ft. When I first turned in on it blew cool air out the front but the exhaust hose created more heat than the unit could compensate for, as a result the room actually did not cool at all. I bought some insulation to wrap the exhaust hose. This helped but the unit still does not cool the room...maybe five degrees lower than outside. Yesterday was 97 degrees here the unit got the room down to 91 degrees, running constantly. I would not recommend this product.

Window kit did not adjust to window

The window kit would not fit my window. I was not able to install the unit. It would help if they modified the installation kit to fit all standard size home windows.

No windows exposing light using a laptop only and it would still get sweltering during the day with this running on high. It broke today right after my return period ended.

Even on Cool, High Speed with the temperature turned down to 65, the air is not cold and the room doesn’t cool off.
