  • Key Specs
    • Recommended Room Size: 350 square feet (The recommended area size in which the product is designed to operate and produce optimal results, such as the desired heating or cooling. Generally, running a unit too big or too small for the space will result in ineffective operation and wasted energy.)
    • DOE SACC Cooling Power: 4500 british thermal units (The Seasonally Adjusted Cooling Capacity (SACC), implemented by the Department of Energy (DOE) after 2017, is a rating of a portable AC unit's cooling power. This rating is based on revised testing that more accurately measures a portable unit's performance, taking into account that these units do not vent heat in the same way as wall or window units and therefore were not cooling as effectively as the previous BTU ratings indicated (based on the ASHRAE-128 standard prior to 2017). Generally, the new cooling power ratings are lower than previous BTU ratings and can more reasonably be compared to the cooling capacities of other types of AC units.)
    • ASHRAE Cooling Power: 8000 british thermal units (The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) rates the cooling power, or capacity, of portable AC units based on their effectiveness in cooling a single room as intended. Prior to 2017, this was the accepted standard used for comparison with other types of AC units. However, it did not accurately reflect the cooling power as it did not account for the heat emitted from the unit that would circulate back into the space. The Department of Energy (DOE) Seasonally Adjusted Cooling Capacity (SACC) standard is now used to determine appropriate BTU ratings of portable AC units.)
    • Number of Cool Settings: 3
    • Number of Fan Speeds: 2
    • Airflow Rate: 194.1 cubic feet per minute
    • Remote Control: true
    • Integrated Heater: false
    • Sleep Mode: false (Enabling this mode sets the unit to first reach the desired temperature, then gradually increase the temperature over a period of time until it reaches a new set temperature, typically several degrees higher than the initial cool setting. This mode helps save energy while keeping the room comfortable.)
    • Timer: true
    • Auto Shut-Off: true (Feature automatically turns off the product.)
    • Window Venting Kit: true (Indicates whether supplies for venting the unit through a window are included.)
    • Energy Efficiency Ratio: 2.3 (The ratio of output BTUs (British Thermal Units) to input electrical energy (watts) at a given operating point. Generally, the higher the number, the more efficient the unit. Though higher efficiency units are typically more expensive upfront, they may offset the price in energy costs over time.)
    • Combined Energy Efficiency Ratio (CEER): 5 (The standard used to measure energy efficiency in window and room air conditioners by the Department of Energy (DOE) as of June of 2014. CEER measures the ratio of output BTUs (British Thermal Units) to input electrical energy (watts) in standby mode and while the unit is operating. Generally, the higher the number, the more efficient the unit. Though higher efficiency units are typically more expensive upfront, they may offset the price in energy costs over time.)
    • App Compatible: false (The product can be connected to a program or software application on a mobile device, which then receives collected data from the product.)
    • Air Conditioner Type: Portable
    • Hose Configuration: Single (Generally, dual hose configurations are more efficient and better suited for cooling larger areas. Single hose configurations typically consume less energy and are best for cooling smaller spaces.)

Q: Does this unit have an auto evaporation system for water that accumulates from cooling?

A: From my investigation of the manual, no, it must be drained at some point. An LED light on the control panel will let you know when to drain.

Q: what is the dimensions and weight of the unit?

A: The dimension and weight are as follows: Product Width 14.7 inches Product Weight 44.09 pounds Product Height 26.9 inches Product Depth 13.5 inches Cord Length 70.87 inches

Q: How does the moister drain out of it?

A: There is a plug on the rear of the ac which u will hVe to drain the water. Or you can connect a hose to it.

Q: I want to use this in a garage does it have to be vented?

A: Hollie, This device does need to be vented. This AC unit comes with an exhaust port hose that needs to be mounted to the outside so hot exhaust air can escape and the unit's cool air can circulate inside. This exhaust hose has a diameter of about 5 inches. If your garage has any normal sized double hung window this will work perfectly because this AC unit comes with a double hug window mounting kit. If you have another style window you could shop around online to find different mounting kits which I know are out there, and will work for this unit. Hope this helps! Cheers.

Q: What size window opening will this fit for a horizontal sliding window?

A: I bought this unit for my son who lives in a small apt in a very old building built around 1935. But the unit comes with a hose attachment that he put into the opening window and then pulled the window down until it contacted the top of the flat insert and put flat pieces of plastic on either side to cover the remaining sides of the open portion to block out air from coming in. So it appears you can adapt the exhaust hose adapter to fit any sized window. Hope that helps.

Q: How does this vent through a casement window?

A: There is a vent kit that is provided with the unit which can be installed horizontally or vertically. This allows for installation in either casement or double hung windows. The hose is very flexible and it attaches to a narrow, plastic slat that is placed in the window. There is hardware included that allows for locking the window in place for security.
