If you need total quiet sleeping, this will be a problem. You can't cool a non insulated or high ceiling garage with these things, maybe a 1 car. These cool even better if you put a rotating fan in front of the vents. Maybe a Dyson, or a box fan. A fan doubles or triples your airflow and pushes that cold air even further. Before you buy understand what botth BTU ratings means and what 450 square feet is, remember 450 square feet is max square footage, but with a fan you can easily cool 600 SF...

Not an automatic setting
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Its my first portable--not happy with it because not only is it noisy but it does not have an automatic setting like a Fridgidare... it just runs and runs and runs. Its not bedroom friendly.
