Now that the filter is due for replacement though, it's an expensive piece of floor art because replacement filters have been sold out for awhile, and there are no third party options for this device. Unless you want a one and done air filter, I'd stay away from this device and pick a brand with more reliable replacement parts.

Posted .Very sorry for the trouble brought to your use. The filter is currently out of stock and we will have units arriving over next 2-3 weeks. Then you can get the replacement. Filter life varies based on runtime and existing air conditions. If you think your air condition is not very bad, you can use the old filter until you get new replacement.

It seems to filter the air well, as best I can tell. The problem is: you can’t find the replacement air filters anywhere. It appears Insignia is Best Buy’s house brand and they aren’t making the filters and there are no aftermarket brands. Buy a unit that you can find filters.

Called the phone number in the user guide and all I got was several people and all they wanted me to do was say I wanted to receive the product that they were pushing. I told them what I was looking for and they keep reading their script. Would not recommend this product.
