I am beyond happy with this air purifier! I took my time and did a lot of research. This was my final choice in the end. This purchase was for my boyfriend because he suffers from really bad allergies. Since we purchased this his allergies have decreased BIG TIME. It is very easy to use and understand as well.

We are a family with allergies, which is why we got a hypoallergenic dog with low dander. We have tried many air purifiers from low end models to high end ones with mixed results. Enter the Insignia HEPA air purifier for our needs, and wow, it really made a difference in our home. Set up was pretty simple (plug and play), with an LED display that dominates the top front. Insignia states it for 380 Sq. Ft, and our home is under 1600. We placed it in our downstairs living room/dining room that is around 500sq ft. We definitely have noticed a difference, especially my son who has the worst of it. Even the dog’s odor was gone after an hour of use. The filtered air shoots upward instead to the sides, so I know that the air would be distributed to the entire room. The LED display is pretty self explanatory at the top and the air quality is prominently displayed. I was able to change the settings such as speed (3 different speeds) and adjust the timer (hour increments of 1, 2, 4 and 8) from this display. There is also a child lock ability which prevents my son from tampering with it. The only cons to this air purifier is that on the low setting you can barely eat or feel it. When you get to the medium setting it becomes very noticeable and loud. There really isn’t a middle ground to the sound level. Overall, this is great air purifier and has worked out for all of our allergies.

I like the quietness the control panel the darkening of the panel at night. I like seeing the reading of particles on the panel. But honestly I don't know is that I saw any difference in room air. I bought this for my son's home in Cali. At my house I had two smaller units in my old dusty house I ran in my room. Those felt like fresher air. The insignia unit covers a big room over 300sqft my little ones together maybe equal that and I have a big room. So I don't know. Maybe my son will tell me how it does when the Santa Anna winds pull more particles into the house. Yes I did take the plastic off the filter.

I suffer from all sorts of allergies and I found out two years ago I’m basically allergic to all sorts of trees and plants! I’ve had my Insignia Purifier for about a week and a half and I have found I wake up with less issues and stinging eyes than I used to! This doesn’t mean I/you should stop taking allergy meds! However, the Purifier has really given me more relief at night. My other half also says my snoring has subsided. So this benefits you and your family. I have mine in my master bedroom because its where I spend my time sleeping and winding down for the evening. There are no smells or artificial scents that I thought might come from a machine like this. Sound is amazing, it is quiet as can be and in the time I’ve had it the device hasn’t needed to go into overdrive. Also Insignia did really well to include a night mode where the machine functions but the lights don’t need to be on. I’m a light sleeper and blue lights bother me so I love this. I’ve had fancier fans and the most agitating thing is when there is a switch to turn off lights. If you’re like me you’ll love this as well. Overall, an amazing addition to my house. It’s also really short and sits on my carpet, well balanced, and light to carry. Spring is around the corner so get this in your house now.

This Air Purifier has been astounding since purchase recommended by my Consumer Reports App. Easy setup, auto function ensures "set-it-forget-it" simplicity. Super quiet low speed. In the dusty Southwest there's no shortage of dust in our dry air, this machine has ensured a consistent 1-5 PM2.5 rating in our large living room. The air quality readout is an excellent feature that keeps peace of mind when passing by. We're going to purchase another for upstairs for sure. I will be recommending to all friends and family with an air purifier need!

I really like the size and functions of this unit, it covers a large area so it’s great for my apartment. It’s nice to have the read out screen to see exactly what the air quality is and the auto mode will adjust the fan speed as needed. I ended up buying two so I could put one in my master bedroom and the other in the front room and it covers that whole area very well all the way to the front door.

This air purifier worked great and not too noisy for the family room- BUT, I don't know if the model is being discontinued or it's an inventory issue but you CANNOT get a filter to fit this purifier. It takes model NS-APFM2 and this filter has been sold out since October 2022, after I had the purifier four months and the alert to change the filter came on. Right now the purifier is useless... You cannot even buy a filter from the Insignia company as their website shows sold out also. Very disappointed in how little I've been able to use.

Bought two of these and really like them. The automatic sensing system that adjusts fan speed and the display of air quality is a very nice feature. Very quiet operation. Bought on a deal of the day special so it made it an even better purchase!

Physically large but works well in small living room. Not loud but definitely has a white noise to it. In just two days it reduced allergy reactions from pet in room. A value during a sale. Ordered an extra filter at time of purchase which was 25% the cost of machine.

***DO NOT BUY THUS AIR PURIFIER*** The purifier is definitely FIVE STARS - it does an incredible job of pulling out even the finsest dust and contaminants. I bought 3 of these to cover the entire basement of the home, BUT (1) the filters are ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE to get (they are always out of stock and I haven’t been able, yet, to find a suitable replacement)… Best Buy does NOT keep these in stock. Which, because of… (2) these filters last maybe 3-4mos, if you’re lucky! They do such a great job pulling contaminants out of the air, that they need to be replaced frequently, and Because (3) they are EXPENSIVE… $39.99 EACH to replace, it’s turned out to not be a savings buying the air filter on sale, WHEN I am spending $120 every 3-4mos to replace filters IF I can even find a replacement filter in stock. Right now - I’m sitting here with useless air filters because I can’t get an air filter (AGAIN… this is an ongoing issue, which you will see if you read the reviews under the air filter for this). Spend more on a HEPA system that doesn’t require such frequent and expensive filter replacement… AND on a system that you can actually get the replacement filter.

My allergy symptoms relieved within 3 weeks. It works very quietly , does not bother the sleep. the only con is that filter needed to be changed every 2000 hours, and mostly sold out.

Excellent product, very quiet, no noise, and keeps the air in the room very clean. I recommend it 100%.

I've had this air purifier now for about a month and I do notice the difference of cleaner fresher air in my home. I do have pets and although I regularly clean my home I still would smell a slight odor when walking in the house and of course you can't avoid pet dander either so that's why I got this air purifier. And it definitely helps a lot. It runs very quiet. I always keep it on automatic setting. It is a very good value as I got it on sale for $70 off compared to others that offer the same kind of square footage and I easily can move it from one room to room when I feel one room has been filtered pretty good then I'll move it to the next and rotate.

Works great! Makes my living room feel clean and isn’t too loud or in the way.

I bought this for my sitting room and ever since i started using it my doughter who has beem having frequent attacks stoped having the attacks and the whole family can really feel that we are breathing in fresh air…… Guys this product is good for the home and perfect for the price. Go get it

Excellent air purified for the money! Used this for my living room and it has surpassed my expectations. The air feels lighter and easier to breathe now. I noticed it also traps dust around the area, but that also means the filter needs to be cleaned frequently. Air blows on top which is great unlike those tower air filters where air blows on the side and the intake is on the back. You can place this near corners or next to a wall, but don't cover the intake fans in the front. Replacement filters can be pricey, but having an air purifier like this Insignia HEPA Air Purifier can be a great investment in your family's health.

Seems like it does what it's supposed to, runs quiet, a bit on the larger side, but it seems effective. Takes about 5-15 minutes to clear the smell of double burnt toast. So far so good.
