I need more USB spots and this was the only item I could find for that. The problem is when It’s connected game discs cannot go in or out of the machine that blocks the blu-ray player. I think I only kept it because I really needed to work out and it was cheap. Still hoping I find someway to utilize it.

But, other than that it was fine. I did end up getting rid of it though since I needed my hard drive.

Only good for charging and perhaps USB headset transponder and PSVR, but the PS4 will tell you that your external drive needs to be connected directly to the console. If you DON'T use an external drive, then this is for you. I use an external drive so I found my solution using j5create - 7-Port USB 3.0 Hub. (Or you can use their 4-Port HUB). :)

The only issue is that it randomly disconnects at times. It then shortly reconnects, but it is a bit annoying.
